Second stay was even better!!

Our family was delighted on our return trip by the upgrades made which I won’t spoil with the exception of the blacktop driveway. Finishing the driveway was a huge investment and very nice to see the Owners investing in the property to make the stay even better than 5 stars! Cabin is clean with no signs of previous guests and pest free as far as we could see. There are some neat critters crawling around the mountains and we were blessed to hear some really interesting bird calls very close to the cabin. Just a tip, park so you’re not directly under the large tree as we had ants dropping off of the tree onto the car after a rain. We chose this location to be away from the more populated area of bears in the heart of Gatlinburg however on this stay a Mama and Junior black bear have made a route that passes the cabin. They walked right past the cars and didn’t divert their attention from their stroll. We are very careful to remove absolutely everything from inside the car and keep the doors locked while parked so maybe this helps. Line Springs Rd up to Metcalf Bottoms shows closed on the map however you can still take the road straight up the mountain and turn left onto Fighting Gap Creek Rd to get to Gatlinburg. We take this route to Gatlinburg and then if we go to Pigeon Forge we take Wears Valley Rd. We love this cabin for its perfect centralized location. Plenty of amenities for provided for the stay along with fast WiFi, Hot water and cold A/C! We can’t wait to come back!

Awesome cabin in valley

Looking at staying in Wears Valley? This log cabin is just a 25min drive to Gatlinburg, and a 10min drive into Pigeon Forge and/or Sevierville. It allows you to be as close and as far away as you want to be. The details of the property are spot on, so I hope you enjoy the place as much as my family and I did!

Family vacation

Clean cute cabin. Perfect for our family and dog. Decorated nice and has that cabin feel. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after exploring and all of our fun activities. The bears were active while we were there. We got to see alot. They are awesome to see. There was a mother bear with cubs. We took extra caution since we have little ones and a protective dog, but everything worked out great. Very exciting! The park and mountians are beautiful. We found a short trail to a waterfalls. The area the cabin is was very peaceful and laid back. I am glad we chose this cabin would recommend.

Annual Cades Cove Trip

Great place to stay while enjoying Cades Cove. Cozy house and great area. The first morning we walked into the backyard we were greeted by a bear. They have a small fenced in yard for your pets. It was everything we needed for our annual trip. Will stay there again.

Wonderful Home in Great Location

Very easy to find. Great location in Wears Valley. Located off 321 between Townsend and Pigeon Forge with a 10 min drive to Metcalf Bottoms entrance to the Park. The cabin was immaculate. We love the quiet side of the Smokies. After 41 years of enjoying our mountain trips, Quiet with a choice of the busy other side is perfect.

Peace in the mountains

Windy ridge is a beautiful small cabin that was just perfect for my husband, my small chihuahua Bella, and I. Loved the decor and the fenced in yard in back for Bella. Everything was just the right size.

Quiet cabin for 4

As others have said, only one sleeping area can be closed off for quiet/privacy. The second bedroom is actually the open loft. And although it's listed for 6 people, two of them would be sleeping on the futon and cot in the living room. Property is listed with pool access - but note that it's an unsafe one-mile walk away and too crowded to use on a summer holiday weekend (as the RV park leases it to many area cabin visitors). With those caveats - the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had the cooking supplies we needed, the hot tub and washer/dryer were well-appreciated after a day of hiking in the Forest. We briefly saw two black bears next door one evening, but they ran to the woods as soon as we saw each other!

I simply loved this place!

Communication was fabulous. I loved that my dog was welcomed. The place was very clean with no odors. The bed was clean and comfortable. This was one of the most peaceful stays I ever had. I did not want to leave. The fenced in back yard was wonderful for letting my dog out. The WiFi was very good allowed for fast connections to do work (I did not stream movies so I cannot say but I suspect it would be fine. I had decent cell service. There is a restaurant nearby that is wonderful and also allows pets on the patio (Elvira’s). The decor is very nice and the bed was comfortable. I give this place an A+ and 5 stars!!! (I confess I write this with mixed emotions because if too many people know about this place I won’t be able to stay again! )

Great location!

Property was clean & and as advertised. Great location in the heart of Wears Valley. My only personal issues was that we felt the bed wasnt all that comfortable. But i know people are different when it comes to mattress preferences. Would also be nice to see a king bed. Also, our dogs loved the fenced in yard, was very convenient with not having to leash them & walk them when they needed to go out. One of our dogs did like to make his way under the back deck. Perhaps some lattice could enclose that part. Over all our stay was great, cabin has everything you need to cook meals. And makes for a very comfortable & cozy place to relax. Close enough to all the attractions, yet far enough way for peace & tranquilty

Something for everyone

Such a cozy cabin. Loved that there was so much to do without leaving “home”. Read through the guest journal, lots of good recommendations! Quick responses to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family. Only draw back was the narrow road and no view.
