Welcome to South Fork Cabin! This home in Fleetwood is the perfect retreat for couples, small families, or a group of friends visiting North Carolina's "Coolest Corner"!

The living room offers the highly sought after authentic rustic charm that a mountain cabin is supposed to offer. Vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, a stacked stone wood burning fireplace, and cozy sofas await you for family movie night after an exciting day exploring. The kitchen is complete with KitchenAid appliances, including a gas range. The small island has 4 barstools for quick meals before heading into town. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and offers additional dining space for 4 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, baking dishes, and plenty of utensils. There is also a Keurig coffee maker for guests to use so be sure to pack your favorite K-Cups!

South Fork Cabin offers 3 main bedrooms, one on the main level, one upstairs and one on the lower level. The upper cabin offers queen bed's while the lower level offers 2 twin bunks. The large open loft upstairs offers a queen bed as well. Guests in the loft will share a bathroom with those in the upstairs bedroom. A loft room divider provides moderate privacy.

Outside you'll find over 1,000 square feet of covered & uncovered deck space. Perfect for grilling and entertaining while enjoying the cool summer evenings. The 2-seater hot tub on the deck is the perfect way to relax after a fun day kayaking on the nearby New River! Fur family members can stretch their legs in the enclosed area in the backyard. Lastly, grab the S'mores and head over to the fire pit and swing! Enjoy star gazing and telling your favorite campfire stories with family. South Fork Cabin truly is a special place to make memories to last a lifetime!

Downtown West Jefferson is only a short drive away. Here you can find tons of shopping, great dining options, as well as many historic attractions. Visit Churches of the Frescoes, one of West Jefferson's most visited attractions! Or, for guests that wish to spend their days outdoors, head to Mount Jefferson State Park and admire the stunning long range mountain views. Nearby, Elk Shoals New River State Park offers a sandy beach, calm waters and family-friendly atmosphere for swimming, wading and tubing. Boone and Blowing Rock are also nearby, about a 15-30 minute drive. If heading to Blowing Rock, take the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and stop at one of the many overlooks for an awesome family photo!

For Peloton users, a bike with Shimano SPD-SL cleats is provided downstairs.

Additional notes:
-This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
