Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and the location is great. We split our time between Anchorage and Girdwood/Whittier/Seward areas, so this location was convenient to both. The views were great and the porch and balcony were great spots to enjoy morning coffee. We were visited by peacocks a few times. We had one minor issue with the washer and dryer, but it was handled quickly. I would highly recommend this property.

Cozy Alaskan Cabin

This cabin is perfectly located so travelers can enjoy Anchorage and Aleyeska. Our host, Dimitri, was very accommodating! On our check in day, a recent heavy snow had snapped the wifi cable and it was repaired very quickly! We enjoyed the rustic decor and comfortable amenities!

This host is clearly new to vbro and very inexperienced

When we opted for more days at the posted price, the host would not honor and charged a 30% premium for more days. NO INSTRUCTION BOOK so we had to contact the host for everything that would have been in "house book". There was a lot that was not disclosed: only one of 3 TVs were connected to a network, the wood burning stove was not allowed to be used, the peacock feces was piled up high>not enough water pressure to wash it off ourselves only to learn the host only cleans it when his family is there . The place was in ill repair and very dirty to the extent that my wife alergies flared up because of the piles of dirt and dust under the bed that we discovered the last day. The host hid from us when there was a power outside with no provisions. Place several calls for help, no answer! You would think the host would be concerned and contact us with outage started, didn't hear from him for days. Luckily my daughter brought us flash lights, water for the toilet, candles, etc to save us! The property is great, the host not so much

Outstanding Location!

The lodge itself is right across the parking lot from Indian Meats, situated against the steep incline into Chugach National Forest, with great views of the Turnagain Arm down below. The visiting peacocks, the extensive wild game decorations and mountings, and the log cabin appearance all add up to a special experience, and we enjoyed it very much!

Awesome Place

This house is just how you see it online very nice lots of cool things very clean!!!!! Its in a great location to all the surrounding towns i look forward to coming back having coffee on patio looking at the mountains

Amazing cabin

Excellent communication and easy check in. Things couldn't have been any better honestly. Wonderful centralized location for good dinners in Anchorage and nearby opportunities to see glaciers and river/ocean fish. The week went way too quickly! Will definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area! Thanks for everything!

Great Stop

Originally planned for a hotel in Anchorage for 2 nights and opted for a more unique experience. Really enjoyed the cabin. Halfway between Anchorage and Girdwood. Cabin was well stocked, clean and comfortable. Peacocks are a fun addition and we saw a bear wander by this morning!
