Great property right on the water. Our family had a great time and caught a few fish right off the dock. House is convenient to restaurants, hikes, and other area attractions. Host was incredibly responsive and helpful.

Our stay at the house was lovely - perfect for a family of five! Layout was really spacious for everyone to lounge and play, and the lake access and yard were both awesome. Lots of fun toys for kids and the lake too!

Peaceful

Peaceful, perfect get away for all. Some chose to hike, others chose to fish, wakeboard, kayak, paddleboard . This home was well stocked with essentials for cooking and cleaning. Loved our stay!

We stayed here 2 years ago and this time it was as good or better than we remembered. The house is equipped with every toy you can think of for all ages. Board games, fishing gear, canoe, kayak, SUPs, ping pong table, you name it. Our family used just about everything. Dry firewood was nice.

Gem in Lake Toxaway

We have stayed in various properties in this area for years, this is a top choice. Property is on a large lot with room for guests to spread out. Three levels in the house offer various points of interest and space for everyone. House is very clean and well stocked. We hope to return again!

Lake Paradise

This home was perfect for a wonderful stay for two young families. The house was clean and very well stocked, and the playroom and downstairs bedrooms were perfect for kids. The property and view were beautiful and we greatly enjoyed all the amenities. We especially enjoyed the firepit area and lake access with canoe and paddle boards, etc and the pool and golf at Lake Toxaway CC. Would highly recommend. We will be back!

Wedding Weekend

We had a wonderful wedding weekend! The house was perfect for our family. One thing to note. The main floor toilet seems to be plumbed to the hot water line not the cold water line….bit of a surprise! Thanks again for a great stay!

The Positives:Location & Amenities: The property sits right on the water, and we loved having access to the nice paddleboards, a canoe and the dock.House & Layout: The house is spacious, looks exactly like the photos, and is well-appointed. The kitchen was great, and all the electronics and house features worked perfectly.The Issue (Moisture & Health Impact):Despite the great layout and location, the house has major moisture issues. The home felt very humid throughout, active dehumidifiers were running, and desiccant bags were placed in all the closets, all contained water. There was also a noticeable mildew odor in the master bathroom.Unfortunately, both my son and I became sick over the course of our week-long stay. Upon returning home, we visted our doctor who confirmed we were having severe allergic reactions due to mold and mildew exposure.Host Communication & Final Verdict:I reached out to the host to inform them about the issue, but I received no acknowledgement. Because of the direct negative impact on our health, our family will not be renting this property again.Note to Future Guests: If you or anyone in your party is sensitive to mold or mildew, this may not be the house for you. If you do book, make sure to bring strong allergy medication.

Our home sits on Lake Toxaway in a temperate rainforest region of western North Carolina, where humidity is common in the summer months. That's why we proactively run dehumidifiers in the living space and place moisture absorbers in every closet. We were at the property ourselves this summer and did not detect any mold or mildew odor, and no other guests have raised this concern. We also want to note that we never received any message from you, from VRBO, or through any other channel during your stay, so we didn't have the chance to look into this while you were still here. We always welcome the opportunity to address concerns in real time. We take air quality seriously and will continue monitoring the property closely. We're sorry your visit wasn't what you hoped for and wish you and your family well.

Well equipped

This is the best equipped house we ever stayed in. From the numerous games, to the kitchen appliances everything is new. When we needed anything all we had to do was look. The lake front location is ideal and the double lot location affords privacy. The instructions were short but to the point. The entire week was filled with activities. Highly recommend.

Lake Toxaway Home

The house was well equipped. Probably works best for two couples and kids in the basement. The view of the lake and grounds is very beautiful and quite. You can paddle board which is great in the morning or late afternoon. We had a boat for cocktail cruises but you don’t have to. It’s lovely just sitting outside and enjoying the view. There is a fire pit for enjoying in the evening. We enjoyed our week at Lake Toxaway!! We will be back!

Amazing weekend on Lake Toxaway

Rented this house for an impromptu family reunion on the Lake and it exceeded all expectations. The property is amazing - lake front with a doc and a multitude of paddle-craft. Large yard with long lake frontage - fire pit, hammock, plenty of room for the dog to run around in the yard. The house was clean and incredibly well-maintained, looked like no one had ever rented it before! And, finally, A++ to the hosts! Very responsive, quick and clear communication. Overall amazing experience for three generations of my family ages 16 - 89. Cheers!

Beautiful lake property with a wonderful great room, comfortable beds, pleasant deck and dock. Seven adults and a toddler had plenty of space inside. Easy access to hiking trails and the marina. Would stay again.
