This clean beach themed suite has everything you need. Large second-floor unit in this 2 unit multifamily building with a large master bedroom and luxury king size bed, AC throughout, two televisions, two workspaces in two different rooms, stand or sit workspace with 3 monitors or bedroom simple chair/desk, inside laundry and great kitchen. Safe tranquille neighborhood steps to great restaurants and downtown.

We list the 2 bedroom unit downstairs on VRBO (titled steps to downtown) separately. This upstairs unit is quiet, private, plenty of light and relaxing tasteful decor. On a beautiful historic street with plenty of parking. Walk to restaurants and shops, boat tours and everything in Gloucester's historic and charming downtown. Beach close, there are 3 large beaches nearby. Walk to the Beauport Hotel for a meal on their outside deck overlooking the harbor or take a towel to sit on the sand or wade in the water in front of the hotel. Walk to Cape Ann Museum and our new Library for drop in Mahjongg on Tuesdays 1:30 -3:30 pm or play chess starting after Mahjongg. Walk to concerts/shows at the Cut on Main Street, the house is also walking distance to the commuter rail train which goes to TD Gardens in Boston, to Salem and to Rockport. The house is also not far from Good Harbor Beach and the downtown Boardwalk, or Stage Fort Park. Walk to Public Tennis Courts. It is hard to beat this location.

This is a perfect place to stay!!! So clean and efficient! My husband and I walked the whole town and were able to have a few drinks and not have to worry about driving home!! We are close enough to our home in case the kids thought to have a party on their own too and we wanted to surprise them!!! I am going to be a frequent flyer to this little gem!! Thank you Joann!!!

Great stay in downtown Gloucester

The apartment was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. We never had trouble finding on street parking. Downtown with its restaurants and museum was easily walkable. Jo Ann was an available and responsive host. We had a great stay!

This VRBO was perfect. Located in downtown Gloucester plenty of on-steet parking, very clean and had everything we needed away from home. A walk to restaurants and shops. We will come again.

Fall Getaway

Perfect spot for my solo fall writing and walking retreat. The apartment is clean, comfortable, quiet, and well equipped. I explored most of Gloucester on foot, and walked to ‘T’ to go further afield. Would definitely return!

Superb stay in Gloucester!!

This rental is in a perfect location!! Quiet, and close to everything. You can smell the salt water as soon as you open the door and hear seagulls. The bed is firm and comfy. Owner has many condiments, coffee, olive oil, butter, etc..for guests use. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot in a great neighborhood

The apartment was immaculately clean and very spacious. The pictures truly don't do it justice. We very much appreciated the on-site laundry, dishwasher, and fully appointed kitchen. We vacationed to spend time in Salem but ended up spending much of our time in Gloucester, which is a wonderful town. Everything you could want in Gloucester, including the MBTA station, is in very close walking distance to the property. This was our first experience with a Vrbo and everything went perfectly.

Fantastic, just what I needed

I have had an excellent stay at this property, it was EXACTLY how it was described online and just what I needed. I hate to give such a great review because then it will be so hard to book again! I am ready to come back and enjoy! Bed was perfect and so comfortable plus new pillows and very clean. House was overall spotless and well taken care of. I couldn't recommend this enough, perfect for one or two people and in the heart of Gloucester! Thank you, Jo Ann, for being so accomodating!

We are semi retired professionals and moved to Gloucester to retire and be near family. Our daughter and son in law own Harbor 9 Golf Sportsbar simulator in Gloucester crossing next to HomeGoods. Let me know if you might like to try it during your visit and I can see about comping an hour for you to try it out. They have clubs you can borrow and games in addition to golf courses in the simulator.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We love the neighborhood and its proximity to everything downtown Gloucester. There are no homes across the street and the harbor is one block across the street. We are a block walking distance to the Seaport Grill which is a popular resort style dinner house on the water. The larger beaches like Good Harbor or Wingersheek are a mile or two at the most depending on which one you want to visit. Try using the Gloucester Taxi and Livery local family owned service for quick ride in Cape Ann for a quick drop off or pick up at the beach in case you don't get or want to pay the fee for beach parking. We also have beach chairs and beach towels for you to use. Historic Crane's Mansion in Ipswich is is about a 15 minute drive and also has it's own beach and summer activities. The town of Rockport is also fun and only 4 miles away. If you like concerts try the Shalin Liu in Rockport and try dinner at the Feather and Wedge a few doors down. The North Shore Music Theater is a few miles just outside of Gloucester headed to Beverly and host all types of live theater and cover bands for Fleetwood Mac, Journey and others. It's always a good time in Gloucester. The Blue Collar Lobster has summer outdoor bands on Saturday and Sunday starting as early as 3 pm through 6 or 7 and you can order fresh seafood and eat inside or outside near the boats.
