THE UNIT:
Welcome home to Mountain Lodge unit 232, a cozy and inviting place to enjoy your next Snowshoe Mountain vacation getaway!

This charming 1-bedroom/1-bathroom property which sleeps four guests is on the second floor. Mountain Lodge 232 is fully stocked with all the basics you'll need to prepare, cook, and serve a delicious meal.

Within the space, you’ll find plateware, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and toaster. Or, if you’re tired of preparing your own meals, consider a short stroll to the magical Snowshoe mountain top village to peruse its numerous shopping and dining options.

As you’re enjoying a cup of tea, coffee, a glass of wine, or a good book from the living room, you can watch the skiers or mountain bikers coming off the Ballhooter high-speed quad lift right outside your window. Take in the fresh mountain air from the brand-new 7’x7’ deck and be inspired by how close you are to all the action!

For your comfort, the bedroom provides you with a queen bed with a bathroom conveniently located in the hall. The pullout sleeper sofa in the living room can accommodate up to two additional people.

In the hall, you’ll appreciate the coat and ski rack to store your jackets, ski, and board equipment.

Your housekeeping package includes linens for each bedroom (sheets and pillowcases) and bathroom (towels, washcloths, and a bath mat), a dish towel, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, liquid dish soap (for hand washing), powdered dish detergent (for the dishwasher), bath soap bars, and coffee filters.

THE RESORT:

At 4,848 feet, Snowshoe Mountain has the best skiing south of Vermont and east of Colorado, and is the perfect all-season destination in West Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains. You’re sure to find activities and adventures to keep all your family members happy.
Winter – With an average yearly snowfall of 180 inches, the mountain offers 250 acres of skiable terrain, 61 slopes, 12 lifts, night skiing in Silver Creek, and five terrain parks for all skill levels. When you feel like taking a break from skiing or snowboarding, consider the many other activities available such as the Coca-Cola tubing park, Polaris RZR tours, snowmobile tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and the Snowshoe spa, to name a few.
Summer – Enjoy the Snowshoe Bike Park with 40 downhill trails. Other activities include hiking, horseback riding, geocaching, clay shooting, golfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, relaxing on the sandy beach by Shavers Lake, etc.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Mountain Lodge features equipment lockers for rent (each holds up to two mountain bikes), for $15/per day on a first-come/first-serve basis, an arcade for the kids and young at heart, an inviting lobby built around a large fireplace (lit in the winter), laundry facilities, conference rooms, and a prime location that’s just a quick walk to Snowshoe’s main high-speed quad lift, Split Rock Pools, Wildcat Grocery, and the St. Bernard Chapel.
Please be courteous and considerate of the other guests and abide by the quiet hours from 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
Party away on the mountain or at a local restaurant. But, please, no parties in the condo.
Free bus shuttles are available from the Village to Top of the Mountain, and to Silver Creek for night skiing. Reach the Western Territory by way of the Silver Creek shuttle.
If you need additional accommodations, please ask me about my other condos in the Snowshoe Mountain Resort.

PETS: We absolutely adore our furry friends and wish you could bring them with you. Unfortunately, Mountain Lodge does not allow guests to bring pets of any type. As such, we have to insist you find alternative accommodations for your pets. However, if you have a certified Service Animal, let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate you. Service animals must be registered when you check-in at the front desk.

EARLY CHECK-IN: While we know you are excited to kick off your vacation, please note we cannot guarantee check-in prior to 5:00 PM. Mountain Lodge may be able to accommodate your request for an earlier check-in as long as the room is clean and set up.

LATE CHECK-OUT: Unfortunately, these are not possible. If you’d like a late checkout so you can enjoy all the mountain has to offer, we’re happy to book you for another night, if this or any of our other properties is available.

PARKING: Your reservation includes parking for up to as many vehicles as there are bedrooms in the condo you’ve booked. Any additional vehicles will be allowed to unload passengers and luggage at the Mountain Lodge main entrance, but will then need to find parking outside of the Mountain Lodge parking lot. We welcome you to park for free at the Top of the World (left out of Mountain Lodge parking lot; one mile up the road). From there, you can take the shuttle to the Village, and walk to Mountain Lodge. It is imperative that you move your vehicle(s) out of the Mountain Lodge parking lot immediately following check-out, as the lot is not large enough to accommodate vehicles of incoming Guests in addition to those of departing Guests.

Had a great stay at ML232! It was steps from Ballhooter lifts and skiing was fantastic with 4-6 inches of fresh powder each day. The property had all we needed to cook a couple meals and Mari was a super host. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This condo is right on the slopes. Good parking lot. We played pool in the lobby one night then went to the basement for a great meal at an Italian restaurant. Gave it a four cause the kitchen is a little dated and pots pans and utensils were not in good shape. For the money you can’t beat this location and when the construction is done I bet it will be more

Stay was excellent and condo very nice,clean and reasonable exit to slopes. FYI for the owner though, sub floor is very lose, every step inside of room except for bath, floor would talk to you. Im not complaining just think owner should know if they change out carpets and such.

Wonderful ski-in ski-out location

We loved our stay. The condo is close to everything we needed during our stay —-restaurants, shops with ski lift right at our window. The pull-out couch is reasonably comfortable. We recommend this place.

Ideal Condo

This condo was perfect for our family who was visiting Snowshoe Mountain to compete in a National dirt bike race. The location was ideal, the condo was clean, and it supplied us with everything we needed to have a comfortable 4 day stay. We hope to return to this exact condo when we return next year.

Unit was as described. Only issue was the wifi - the signal is poor at best if you are right next to the router in the bedroom, and it is unusable if you are out in the living space. Fantastic location next slopes and the village.

Nice Apartment, Could Use Some TLC

The apartment is roomy enough for two people and access to the slopes is ideal. The check in process was slow and backed up at 5pm. Go and relax until 6:30 pm and come back to a smaller crowd. There was the distinct odor of prior cigarette smokers in the unit. Also, the limited closet space is reduced with various household parts that are stored in the closets. Outstay was enjoyable, but we’d have been more appreciative with a little more closet space and the elimination of the old stale cigarette odor.

I'm disappointed to read about this delay in the check-in process, though this isn't related to the condo and it's atypical. Had I learned about it at the time, I would have sent my on-site team down to escort the Guest into the unit where he could have relaxed until the line died down, when he could have checked in without a wait. This property has two closets in the bedroom, so I'm thinking perhaps the Guest was looking for space in the one that we use as a homeowner's closet. The other one has plenty of room for the belongings of the four people the condo sleeps, but I will make sure there anything that might have been left in there (perhaps a vacuum cleaner) is moved into the homeowner's closet. In reading about the odor, I asked my cleaning team about any sign of the prior Guest smoking in this unit (something I penalize heavily), and everyone on the team agreed there was not only no smoke smell, but no unpleasant odors of any sort in that unit prior to the Guest's arrival. They reliably report violations to me when they happen, so I'm not sure what the Guest smelled, but I'd definitely have sent my team by to try to address it by ionizing the room for the Guest, if he would have let me know. I go out of my way to provide top-notch accommodations for my Guests, and to respond promptly to handle any issues that I learn of, but I can only help if I know about problems.

Great location, but overpriced for the condition

The location’s proximity to the slopes is amazing, but the condition of the property is way substandard for the price you pay. The pull out couch was dirty, there aren’t even baseboards in the bathroom. Also, the WiFi is spotty, at best. I tried to contact the owner to ask for help because my daughter had a school project due… and I never got a response. I would not stay here again or recommend it for a family. If you book early enough (which is honestly on me) there are way better options for your money.

I'm disappointed to see that this Guest had a dirty couch and troubles with the Wi-Fi that were not resolved, as I go out of my way to be promptly responsive to the needs of my Guests. Had the Guest either responded to any of the seven emails or the five SMS texts I sent him, or tried to contact me either through the VRBO chat proxy or the phone number, email, or personal website I provided to him in his confirmation email, then I would have sent my on-site maintenance team up to take care of the Wi-Fi issue while my on-site housekeeping team cleaned whatever was dirty on the couch. But there was never an attempt by the Guest to let me know anything was wrong via any of those venues, and I can only resolve the issues I'm aware of.
