DriftAway to the Beach

Welcome to the beach life. Newer home 1 block from the beach. Beautifully decorated 5 bedroom 4 1/2 bath home just waiting for you to experience the best of the beach life. Sleeps 14. A 2 person elevator is available.

Giant kitchen with upscale Thermador appliances, refrigerator, 6 burner range and double oven, microwave, dishwasher, KitchenAid under counter ice maker and an oversized island. Fully stocked dinnerware setting, glassware, cooking accessories and everything needed to cook the dream vacation meal.

Each bedroom (bunk room excluded) has a full bathroom and wall mounted 42" Smart TV. Bunk room has 3 twin beds and 1 full bed, a wall mounted 42" Smart TV and a large selection of board games to keep the kids busy.

Living room has an electric fireplace, leather recliners and a 65" Smart TV. A queen size Murphy bed has been added in the living room for additional sleeping arrangements and comes with a fold up desk. View the beach from the dining room table that seats 10.

Take in views of the sunrise on the back porch. The home has 4 balconies with 2 Adirondack chairs and a small table on each deck. The main back balcony has 2 Adirondack chairs, 1 small table and 2 rocking Adirondack chairs. We recently added a latched gate on the main back deck for added safety. Sip a coffee or cocktail and just enjoy the views from any balcony.

Outside in the garage, have a seat in the lawn furniture while someone cooks your favorite meal with the gas barbecue. After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower. We have also included a Tesla charger in the garage for any electric vehicle that needs charging.

We absolutely loved our Thanksgiving stay at the house - the place is spacious, clean, and the kitchen is fantastic for preparing meals. The balconies are lovely - we enjoyed watching the diving ducks! The elevator was perfect for my elderly parents - it is so hard to find a place with minimal steps in Galveston, and this fits the bill perfectly. The location is so convenient - near grocery stores, restaurants, and Moody Gardens. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to friends.

End of summer family get together for my four brothers and their families, as well as 90th birthday bash for our dad, and 18th birthday for nephew. The property was perfect for our group we had plenty of space to be together and play games and share meals. The spacious living room had large sofas that included 5 electric recliners. There was also lots of places/decks to be alone and read a book or have a one on one catch up conversation. It was a short, easy, clean walk to the beach. One of our TVs didn’t work and the owner had it replaced within hours. The property manager was very friendly and answered all of our questions quickly. The kitchen had all the supplies needed for our daily meals, and there was enough room for all 12 of us to sit and eat at the same time. Each bathroom had enough toiletries to last the entire stay. No tiny bars of soap. We brought beach towels, but there were plenty on site and the well stocked laundry room made it easy to do a daily load. The biggest benefit was the elevator which enabled my dad to go places with us without tiring out from the stairs. The location was close enough to get into town quickly, but far enough that the beach was not crowded. Everyone from 16-90 had a blast. Highly recommend for groups.

The check in was easy, we were able to be assisted very quickly with problems. The air went out during our trip and was fixed in a timely matter. House exactly how described and host was even better !

Overall the house is wonderful! Two small things: the master bedroom has no shades on the patio doors which means no privacy for anyone sleeping in that room; and there is no pantry in the kitchen which is inconvenient when traveling with a large group.

Great place

The beach house was very nice. Great location too. Easy 5 min walk to the beach. Also easy to get back into the main stretch in Galveston from there.Views from the master balcony were great. Plenty of beach accessories as well. Would definitely book again when needing a space for a bigger group.

Wonderful Werkend air Drift Away

Four long time friends enjoyed the beautiful Driftway home this weekend. The home is beautifully appointed with comforts of home. It was a wonderful weekend full of friendship and laughter on a gorgeous spring weekend The elevator made getting our groceries and luggage in a breeze.

We had a small group for our Dads celebration of life. The house is absolutely beautiful and meticulous. Communication was excellent and very helpful with fishing guide and golf cart rental. Highly recommend!

Wonderful house

My friends and I stayed during a long weekend. The house is beautiful and very clean. We had all we needed for our stay, the kitchen is very well stocked with state of the art appliances and any utensils or tools you may need. We loved the drinks area with the two wine refrigerators, very nice to have. Definitely a keeper!

My family and I loved our stay at this property. The neighborhood was nice, walking distance to the beach and close to the sea wall. Beach getaway

Property was beautiful and clean. The elevator was great for my elderly parents. One of the problems was in the master bedroom, sun is very bright and blinds don't help. Mosquitoes were very bad. Overall a great place for a large group.
