OMG
.such an amazing trip. We SO loved this property and the owner Jon and his pups. The gardens are amazing and Jon has such a talent for design. This will be our permanent spot for all future stays in Lexington.

Fantastic place

John was incredibly hospitable; offering us tours of the home and gardens, and drinks off his own bar shelves. The heated pool is a huge plus. The place is expertly decorated, and a beautiful escape.

Charming Carriage House

Great location, especially if you are visiting someone at University of Kentucky. Beautiful gardens and pool area! House had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Gem in Lexington

Wonderful stay at Botherum Carriage House. Beautiful gardens and pool. Close to downtown but feels like you're in the middle of the country. We look forward to our next trip to Lexington. A truly special place.

Simply Magical

Everything was marvelous! The property is a small slice of Heaven, hidden in Kentucky. Jon is such a kind human and wonderful host. My little sister and I spent 11 days in Botherum and loved every moment of it. We for sure will be staying here again next year!

Kentucky Historic Botherum House of Lexington Ky The slow walks through the peaceful gorgeous gardens with the restful swing from the 300+ year old tree, can you imagine how much that tree has seen?! Then followed by a fast pace day at Keeneland. Wow! What a wonderful & breathtaking experience that was! To top it off, our dining out experience was at the top of our list of highs in Lexington! We have saved the best for last
. The accommodations couldn’t have been more perfect! It was inviting from the moment we walked up to the gorgeous exterior, and once inside we couldn’t take it all in. On every wall, and in every corner, was beautiful decor that made me want to sit and enjoy over & over again. We were on a family history journey to surrounding areas and the pool house made it hard to want to venture out. Our host and his 2 gorgeous girls made every moment there completely joyful. I can’t wait to return in the spring to take it all in again!

Perfect downtown location with other-worldly oasis feel! Beautifully charming and relaxing!

Stunning views and calming, peaceful relaxation awaits you at the charming carriage house! No detail is left unnoticed within the home itself- from lavish fixtures and beautifully curated decor to all the accoutrements a guest could desire, Jon has supplied it all! Fixated in a perfectly convenient downtown location, this property has all the perks of location wants with a feel far removed from city life. Cannot say enough about how wonderful our brief stay was and how difficult it was to leave! We were truly spoiled in every way!

Best Thanksgiving ever!!

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint! Loved every moment and enjoyed thanksgiving dinner outside with the charming host complete with fine china in a one of the Botherum gardens. Truly amazing and special memories we will cherish forever. We were looking for something different for our thanksgiving holiday and found it. So relaxing, laid back, and zero pressure- just what we wanted. Cannot wait to go back to this magnificent property!
