Bring the whole family or a group to this quiet country setting with lots of inside living space & a huge backyard for games and relaxation.
Also has a large kitchen with updated appliances and cooking pots, pans and utensils.
Weber LP Grill on the deck that get used for Steaks, Burgers, & Seafood.
300 MBPS WIFI & 43'' Smart TV
Large Family Room & Living Room.
This is a nice place to use as a vacation getaway or a home base when visiting the many area attractions.
This is a great area to drive around and look at real farm country.
Bring the bikes and go for a really cool bike ride to the Susquehanna river and back ( 8 mile round trip )

This is an older farmhouse that has been added on to over the years.
The owner from 2005 to 2021 did a lot of work to this house.
There is a fully function kitchen and dining room.
There are 2 family / living rooms.
There are 2 full baths, 1 on the 1st floor & 1 on the 2nd floor.
There are 4 bedrooms, All on the 2nd floor.
There is lots of outdoor deck area.
There is approx. 1 acre of yard area ( All Board Fence )
There is a small creek in the backyard that our children LOVE.
This is in a quiet neighborhood.

Great place

Was such a great place. Enjoyed seeing all the cows and farmland. Ruben was so kind and the neighbors were all so nice. We had 10 people at this house and there was plenty of room for us all.

Quiet and away from the hubbub

This property is about 20 miles from 'civilization' but if you want to go to a restaurant, a show, the movies, etc., it isn't that far to drive. It is a beautiful area. There are farms all around. It is a great place to unwind and rest.

Amazing and beautiful

We enjoyed our time at this place. It was so refreshing and peaceful. We spent time exploring the Susquehanna river, York, and other places. The host/owner will have suggestions to make your trip very enjoyable.

Great family weekend!

We had am amazing time and truly enjoyed this beautiful property. Our very last day we even got to see a bald eagle sore through the back yard while we were on the deck. The entire home is lovely, and so perfect for our easter weekend with mom. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing this lovely space. It really was a big part of what made our weekend perfect.

Nice Farmhouse

Rented house with our 2 grandkids 6 and 15 for Thanksgiving. They especially loved the yard and it’s an easy drive into Lancaster. Lots of space and great price per night.

Friend Weekend

The house had a lot of space with plenty of bedrooms for the four of us. The fire pit in the yard was a great feature that we used multiple days, as well as the big kitchen with double oven. There were a few parts of the house that were dated, but we were comfortable. The area was very quiet, we walked along the road to enjoy the weather and nearby farms.Reuben was very communicative and came over to fix the kitchen faucet which had been mishandled by previous guests.Overall a great stay.

Large!

This home was large and rambling! There were six adults and we never felt like we were in each others way. The property was absolutely beautiful with plenty of room to sit and visit or walk or feed the horses and cows! We had a lovely time.

Excellent stay, big, beautifully and comfortable home

We had such a great stay. The house is very spacious perfect for our family to be together. There was a little playroom for the kids and the grounds were spacious and beautiful. Our kids had fun exploring the little wooded area in back and sitting on the front porch swing watching for passing horses. Kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of bedding and towels. Reuben was very helpful and worked with us to make sure we has everything we needed. Highly recommend this location.

Relaxing and fun place to stay

When we first arrived, we saw cows and horses and were immediately in love. The house itself is spacious and accommodated all of us for our twins 10th birthday! The boys enjoyed the stream and played in it multiple times a day! We went to HersheyPark one day and it was close enough to go first thing and stay until closing and still be back at a reasonable time. We enjoyed driving around and finding antique and oddity stores, there are soooooo many local! The kitchen was perfect for cooking big meals and was well stocked. We love to cook as a family and were able to do that most of the evenings we stayed! The host was very responsive when we had a scary issue with hornets. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!! Thank you for opening your beautiful property to us!!

First off, we didn’t actually stay. Our son in law was the first to arrive with 2 of our grandchildren (5 & 2). There was broken glass on the floor in the dining area. He reached out to me & my husband to let us know the condition of the place & knew we wouldn’t be staying. Two of my daughters, another son in law & 3 more grandchildren (9, 7 & 10 months) arrived. They took pictures of the place. The entertainment center was falling forward from the wall. Carpeting appeared to have mildew/mold. There were holes in walls. Exposed wiring. Bunk bed was not made. There were also a couple rooms I think in the basement area that had doors unlocked that weren’t safe. While those areas (rooms) were off limits, the doors weren’t properly locked & definitely posed a hazard to wandering children. These were not nit picky things. Based on reviews & photos, we were all excited to stay but the reviews & photos weren’t accurate. My husband & I never actually made it to property but I trusted my daughters & son in laws. After seeing the pics there was no way in good conscience we could have our family & grandchildren staying there. In fairness, VRBO handled this well. Our full refund was issued within 24 hours of reaching out. I contacted VRBO immediately on check in day. The owner (Reuben) reached out to me via a call the Monday after & I politely explained all of our concerns, health & safety wise. The home is old & dated & that’s okay. It was the other things that weren’t okay.

Beautiful property; work needed

We had a lovely time at this beautiful property. The much-needed rain dampened our ability to enjoy the outside with all its lovely seating areas, but we were able to spend time on the unique covered bridge. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the house was full of hundreds of flies. Reuben promptly responded to my request for flyswatters, and there were fly strips in a drawer that we hung in the kitchen area. We also wiped counters and had to make sure we kept food covered because of the flies. We had a very pleasant chat with Reuben, who was very apologetic and made himself available if we needed anything. He said the previous guests had left doors open allowing for the flies to enter. We would have enjoyed having more screens in windows so we could have opened them to hear the frogs and bird songs. The window ac units were not fitted snugly creating wide gaps which is where we initially thought the flies had entered. The house needs some work, but we really appreciated the lovely kitchen/dining area. We jokingly referred to the house as “the house of stairs” as there were surprise steps everywhere. Highlights include seeing from the deck: -belted kingfisher -blue heron -weasel/mink -listening to the frogs -watching the horses frolic after the rain We would stay there again with the understanding it is an old farmhouse. We bought this property because it was close to home, and it just simply felt right to buy it. I grew up locally and I really love the rolling hills of southern Lancaster County PA.
This little farmette also provided me a meadow to pasture our 3 steers & 2 horses.

Lots of inside living space, Plus a large backyard area.
We love the little mini creek in the backyard.
Multi-level deck system for outdoor dining and or relaxation.
It is also neat to sit on the front porch to watch the horse & buggies go past.
