Enjoy our private home with a spacious backyard great for relaxing and fires. Quite culdesac right off the freeway for quick easy access and anything that’s worth doing in Utah is no more than 30 mins away. You will have plenty of room for everyone to relax. Centrally located with dozens of food options. Layton hills mall only 5 mins away. Movie theaters, bird sanctuaries, antelope island just to name a few within 15 mins. Slc and the airport is only 20 mins away.

The home was spacious and well laid out, with plenty of beds and a comfortable living space—perfect for accommodating a larger group. It was also clean enough upon arrival, which we appreciated.However, there was a noticeable smell in the house that never quite went away during our stay. The neighborhood also wasn’t the most ideal, which affected the overall experience.Overall, a good amount of space and comfort inside, but a few drawbacks kept it from being a perfect stay.

We enjoyed staying at this older home in an older neighborhood. It was convenient to shops, some restaurants & a nice little park where we walked most mornings.

Not clean. Smelled like smoke. Not mowed. Then owner has his brother bring over a trailer to park in driveway. Shower was dirty. Neighborhood was sketchy would never stay again and not recommended.

Close to everything we wanted to do. Lots of room

The size and layout of the house was perfect. The house was clean but was in need of maintenance. Overall, the size and layout of the property along with the convenience of the location made it worth the cost.

Absolutely — here’s a clear, factual, and fair review that communicates the issues professionally (and notes the lack of response from the owner):--- **(2–3 Star Review — adjust as you feel appropriate)**Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. While the neighborhood itself was not ideal, that would not have mattered if the home had been properly cleaned and adequately stocked.When we arrived, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, the floors had not been vacuumed, and there were pillows without pillowcases. Basic supplies such as soap, toilet paper, trash bags, were limited and dishwasher detergent was not provided, and we had to purchase these ourselves to accommodate our visit. Additionally, the front door lock was not working and required us to replace the batteries just to gain access.We have stayed in many VRBOs and understand that things can occasionally be missed by cleaning crews, but this felt like a lack of basic preparation and attention to detail.I reached out to the owner to communicate these concerns but unfortunately never received a response.With better cleaning standards, proper stocking of supplies, and more responsive communication, this property could improve significantly.

Perfect setup for our 2 families

Mark was super easy to work with & house setup was great for our two families. We were in town for a softball tournament & the location was perfect- less than 10 mins to everywhere we went!

Comfortable, clean, practically perfect weekend get away

We had a few kids in our group, a few teenagers and some adults. It was great for everyone. A living room and a den for two different places to hang out in the house plus a big beautiful backyard. Everything was comfortable from the beds, to the couches to the clean decorating style. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The house was super clean. Everything was in good repair. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. It was perfect for our needs and next time we come back to this area, we would love to stay here again. Thank you Mark for all your accommodations!

Family time

This was a perfect home for my family to stay in while visiting with extended family in the area. My daughter and her husband got to have their own floor since it was a tri-level home with one bedroom on the lower level, and my husband and I were able to be by the other kids who were spread through the bedrooms and futons on the other levels. There was a tub for the younger ones, and a large shower for older ones. The kitchen was well equipped with what we needed. Fortunately for us, we rarely eat breakfast all together since there were only four chairs in the kitchen, but if we were to have eaten other meals there, the weather would have been warm enough to use the 6 chairs and table on the back patio too. Plus, there is plenty of play space in the back yard. I appreciated the comfortable beds and socializing areas, the quiet neighborhood, the clean atmosphere that welcomed us, and the recently mowed grass. Oh, and my kids liked the "fluffy carpet." Thanks for an all around great experience!

A shining review

We wanted to get together with family without kids to celebrate the Halloween season. We hit some haunted houses and finished off the night by watching the shining. It was a great night with fun had by all. Luckily for us Mark's rental was nothing like the movie. It was carefully cleaned, cozy, and felt like home. I would definitely recommend this booking if you are ever in the area.
