Crater Lane #1 is a 7000+ sq ft. luxury retreat that is the perfect location for your family gathering. This magnificent home will not disappoint.

Sleeping 20, with 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, everyone will have more than enough room to call their own.

Walking into this lodge style home you will notice the stunning vaulted ceiling with exposed wood beams, original artwork throughout and the extraordinary masonry encasing the gas fireplace. This living space is perfect for family evenings together complete with a large screen smart TV.

The formal dining room has a large renaissance style table with seating for 14, that is perfect for those large family dinners. There is another table in the kitchen to seat the rest of the family. If you are the chef for the family, you will _ LOVE _ this kitchen. It is a dream. Granite counter tops, double oven, 6 burner gas stove, 2 dishwashers and a double refrigerator/freezer. Adorned with a gas fireplace, a kitchen island that sits four, and a bench style table, this space will become a favorite for everyone.

If you prefer to cook outside, you won’t be disappointed when you walk out into the outside kitchen courtyard. Equipped with a gas BBQ, sink, wine refrigerator and plenty of seating for the whole group, everyone will enjoy your great cooking and the beautiful outdoors during those summer months.

Completing the downstairs are two bedrooms with king beds and smart TVs, a laundry room with 2 washer and 2 dryers, and a full bathroom with a step-in shower.
Upstairs, are the seven remaining bedrooms (two are en suites) and two additional bathrooms. Four king bedrooms all with smart TVs, allows everyone to have their space. The bunk room is a great place for all the kids with two bunk beds and an additional twin bed, the kids will love the spaciousness they have to gather. The first king en suite has a bunk bed and a balcony overlooking the gorgeous courtyard. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The large king en suite at the top of the stairs will take your breath away. Complete with a gas fireplace and a couch for extra seating, you will never want to leave the room. The bathroom has a double vanity, a step-in shower, and a large freestanding copper slipper tub, to relax your worries away.

There are plenty of family activities available in this home. Foosball, ping pong and a card table are all in the garage. There are bikes for you to hop on and explore the more than 30+ miles of bike trails in Sunriver.

Outdoors, there is a basketball hoop for a great game of HORSE. There is a private hot tub for your enjoyment. Next to the hot tub area is another bathroom with a step-in shower.

Lots of Activities: Sunriver is a summer paradise with over 30 miles of paved bike and walking paths, 2 public swimming pools, 2 public golf courses, boating, hiking and many other activities. Winter brings lots of beautiful snow with fabulous snow skiing available at Mt Bachelor, only 20 minutes away. And yet Spring and Fall are also great times to vacation in Sunriver with the change of seasons visible in the surrounding landscape.

Crater #1 does not allow pets.

To access the hot tub guests must go through the pool room.

The house could have been cleaner. Very dusty around furniture. Found used kleenex in a couple of bedrooms, that were not from our group. Under dining room table found lots of beads not sure it got vacuumed. Otherwise beautiful home. Beds are way to high for most of us women. Sad that they had an indoor pool that we couldn't use. Check in and check are very late to check in and very early to check out.

House was great for our needs for beds. It was clean. The pictures didn’t show how dark and dated the home is.General maintenance needs to be done. Ants, needed lots of light bulbs, heater didn’t work well in front of house . Ice maker slow, no glass platter in microwave so made it difficult to use microwave. Leak in shower.

No keys available, luckily we found an open door. Didn't get keys for 3 days. Freezer door had no handle, waffle iron was not working. Spa and hot tub not working, electrical outlets in master bath not working, 14 bikes advertised, only 3 rideable, torn cushions on outdoor furniture, 2 garage doors not working, many light bulbs burnt out, stains on carpet, trash was not picked up amd was strewn all over the driveway,housekeeping sub par. So disappointed.

Bummer Experience

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. Communication from the host was poor. We booked a year in advance, and the listing said we’d receive entry info 3 days prior, we didn’t. I reached out multiple times with no response until the day of check-in, when we were told to sign a contract (which we hadn’t seen before) but still weren’t given entry instructions. We finally got the code an hour before check-in, but there was no key in the box. Luckily, the door was unlocked. The host said they'd bring a key but never did, so we went the whole week without one.The host was also unresponsive when trash pickup didn’t happen on the days promised. We ended up hauling it to the dump ourselves. Which cost us money.The photos misrepresent the house, the rooms are smaller, darker, and have lower ceilings than they appear online. Several things were dirty or broken, including towel hooks, the freezer door (which kept falling off), and bathroom door locks. The indoor pool door didn’t lock, and the pool itself was unusable.Most upsetting were the cameras in the courtyard. The host called one evening saying, “you are being watched” and accused us of violating occupancy rules. Some visiting family had briefly stopped by but left right away after the call. It felt invasive and unsettling. Overall, we paid a lot for a frustrating experience. We hope this feedback encourages improvements for future guests.

Do not stay here!

This is billed as a luxury stay, but the property management company that runs this is horrible and doesn't maintain the listings or care about resolving issues! There were so many things that were broken or missing and when we contacted property management they had no clue about the house or the amenities offered. We didn’t have any of the water park passes that were advertised- every single one was gone. There were only empty propane tanks (4 in total) on night one so we weren’t able to use the grill, which was a bummer as we had a grill night planned. The prop manager argued with me about it, and didn’t deliver until the next morning. There were empty alcohol bottles and trash left at BBQ area so the house wasn’t fully cleaned. Several items were broken including: master bathroom shower handle was taped on, freezer door handle broken off, speakers in the garage were broken (wire cut) so no music, and broken art lying on the floor. On top of that they had wet sub-panels which is incredibly dangerous! The property management company did not address any of my concerns except for getting us propane (even that was only offered on the last night of our stay). I called and left a message asking to speak via phone and was immediately sent to voicemail. Do not waste your monty here. It's not luxury and not worth the money if things are broken or missing, and dangerous! We should have booked a different house. Hopefully you learn from our experience.

Great house for a large group!

The property was beautiful, exactly as described. The location is unbeatable, close enough to ski Mt. Bachelor and plenty of outdoor activities in the area. The property itself was clean and everything was as expected!

Pool house shortcomings

This house disappointed in so many ways, yet we still enjoyed our stay. The elephant in the room was the presence of an out of service indoor swimming pool, which was a complete surprise, as, it was never mentioned in the property description. The area was used for storage, and, besides being an eye sore, impeded access to the hot tub and blocked all outside view from the patio. The main level of the house had an awkward ,in-line, room arrangement, and had only one bathroom for the entire floor. The house suffered from routine maintenance (dirty AC filter and curled up rug edges presenting tripping hazards). The house was relatively clean, with the exception of the patio and hot tub, which had to be hosed off before being used. The absentee owner/property manager (Katie) never answered her phone or returned messages, but did respond to texting. She proved frustrating to deal with. Having said this, we all enjoyed our stay there. The upstairs bedrooms were excellent, and the kitchen was truly outstanding. It was very well stocked, efficient, and had good appliances. The area proved a popular gathering point for our family. The Sunriver Bend area was outstanding.

Great house

Contrary to other reviews, the house was quite clean. It is somewhat dusty. But the house was the perfect size for 19 people (5 kids). Other than one minor glitch with check in, communications with the property manager was good. The location and comfort was top notch.

Large house but outdated and dirty

The house is huge and many bathrooms, problem was it was dirty and the two living rooms are separate it’s hard to fit 20 guests in one room. So we always had to be separate. Also communication with the property manager was bad. It took them days to respond. They would not allow for early check in or late check out either. All in all the house is great for large party’s but you can not all be in one area together

Nice, but….

The house was very nice and had lots of space. However, for the price the check in and check out time was problematic. Check in at 5 PM and check out at 10 AM means that you lose a lot of time at the property. It is a very large house And does require time to clean between visits, but when we were leaving at 10 AM there was already a car waiting with only one person inside. It appeared that only one person was going to clean the house in its entirety. If that was the case, then I understand why such an early check out and late check in time. That seven hours would be needed, but that should probably not be imposed upon the guests. I feel that it would be better to let the guests stay a little bit longer, and have a few cleaners hired. The cleaning fee that was paid should justify and make that possible.

Sadly Disappointed

We arrived 15 minutes prior to a 5pm check in time. our daughter needed to use the restroom so we entered the house 10 minutes early so she could use the restroom to our unpleasant surprise when she came out she told us the beds were not made and the house was dirty. I immediately reached out to the property owner/manager who stated it was most likely because the cleaning people saw us in the driveway and didn't stop to clean the house. it was clear once I went in for myself the cleaning company had never been there and there is no way they could have cleaned this large home in 10 minutes! I called the owner/manager back crying as I have 10 family members arriving within the hour. She offered a full refund if we left now and found somewhere else to stay, It was now after 5:30 so that was an impossible option.She offered to refund the cleaning fee! Out of the 9 bedrooms only 3 appeared to have not been slept in the others had been stripped by the previous occupants and the laundry was still in the wash machines. The bathrooms were filthy and the kitchen was a mess, sticky floors, dishes not clean in a fully loaded diswasher.I called back very upset and asked that not only she refund the cleaning fee she also at least refund one night since my 72 yr old mother is now in cleaning the house with my older sister. She was more worried about that she would be out money and a bad review so she only agreed to one nights refund which I still have not received

Such a wonderful vacation location!,

We had the best time with friends and spouses for a few days. The house is so beautiful and easy to access to all the fun times in Sun River! The house was immaculate and supplied all the kitchen items we needed for fun meals and easy to keep organized with all the labels.. We already have plans to come back again!,,

Incredible property!! We will be back!

This house is incredible and was the perfect fit for our large family gathering. Plenty of comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and everything we needed to have an incredible time in Sun River. Sharq passes, hot tub and games for the kids! The host was really responsive and kind, helping us with additional information when we had questions. THANK YOU! We will be back and I'd highly recommend. This is a unique, high-end property.

This house was amazing! It was in a great location, had lots of additional amenities like bikes for all age groups and a wonderful garage that opened to two separate driveways. The rooms were clean and the linens were a nice thread count. We really enjoyed everything about our stay.

Awesome experience! The home was clean, well stocked with all the necessities, and felt like a home away from home. Our kids had a blast staying in the bunk room, riding bikes, playing ping pong, darts, and foosball. The property managers were so friendly and great to work with. We will definitely be staying here again, and we highly recommend it!

An unforgettable vacation!

From the moment we walked into this beautiful property we were impressed. The house is huge! It comfortably fit our entire group of family and friends, there were comfy beds, it was exceptionally clean and beautiful beyond the pictures show. It really felt like the home owners thought of everything. We found the kitchen fully stocked to make large meals - we sat at the large formal dining table and talked for hours. The three fireplaces worked great to keep the kitchen and living rooms toasty- we sent the kids to one room and used the other for adults! The hot tub area was set up perfectly to have some quiet and privacy outside. The house is set on a quiet cul-de-sac so there’s really no traffic - our kids were outside playing constantly. We did have a few questions during our stay and we’re able to get ahold of the manager right away who was super helpful, she was responsive and pleasant. We will absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed!!!

VRBO Stay in Sunriver

Our stay at the Sunriver VRBO was enjoyable, the house was easy to book, host was overall accommodating. Easily able to access Mt Bachelor and Bend. The house was as listed, 9 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Our team had concerns about the kitchen not having a down draft, so be forewarned when cooking breakfast in the morning everything was very smoky, we had to open a few windows. Heating inside the house is difficult to manage, the majority of the vents were closed in the bedrooms which caused the rooms to be cold, when adjusted to open the vent, the room was unbearably hot. Overall nice house & excellent trip. Would rent again.

Great ski trip! Awesome house

We had the best time at 1 Crater lane. Our group has been traveling together for over 10 years. This year we needed a bigger house so we rented 1 Crater for the extra space. I can’t say enough about how well it worked for our large group. The kids loved the bunk room and TV room. The adults loved the well stocked kitchen and large living room. We all had the space we needed. The home was clean, comfortable, and management responded quickly to our questions. They also helped us with an early arrival which was appreciated. We will be back!

Awesome family trip

We had an amazing time staying at this property for our family reunion! Katie was a wonderful host! Very communicative and ensured our group had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The home was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need and then some. The kitchen was very well stocked and we love to cook! This is a great property for a large group. When we come back to Sunriver, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Some of the bedding/blankets were dirty upon arrival. Looked like crusted food. Two main fireplaces downstairs do not work. Tried reaching out to owner to figure it out, she said she’d look into it and never got back to me about it. This meant the downstairs areas were very cold. If you turned up the heat, it would make the rest of the house too hot. So the main living room area we weren’t able to enjoy because it was so cold and same thing with the bedroom over there. The kitchen fireplace also didn’t work, but it was a little warmer in there when we were cooking. So we all crammed at that table and at the bar to eat. Didn’t use the formal dining room cause it was cold and dark. The bar stools were all wobbling and breaking. Once we found the tools, one of our guys was able to fix them so we could actually use them. Until then, we had them sitting in the garage so no one got hurt. The garage is where the game tables are, but we also didn’t use those because it was so cold. The layout of the house was not what we were expecting but it wasn’t horrible. Once the heat/fireplaces are fixed in the home, it would be a lot better. Allowing our big group a more comfortable space to hang out. If those were fixed, our group would consider staying here again and wash all our blankets before sleeping in the beds.

Fantastic home!

This was a great place for us to stay! House was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. This wonderful house is beautifully furnished,and everything used in the house is of the best quality. I would highly recommend this property and looking forward to come back again soon!

Incredible large home, clean, comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crater Lane Lodge. The home was the largest we have stayed at in the many years we have been coming to Sunriver. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We had everything we needed to prepare meals for our group. We loved the large kitchen and gathering spaces. Kids loved the table tennis, sleds, foos ball, sauna and hot tub. Management was responsive to our questions and allowed us extra time to check out. We can’t wait to return!
