Great Location! Right off US-50, minutes to Apple Hill and downtown Placerville.
Private, fenced 1-acre property with over 30 fruit trees. There are over 100 planted trees and shrubs with numerous garden boxes and a fully stocked greenhouse. Get lost in the bamboo forest while eating grapes off the trellis.
There is a year-round creek flowing at the back of the property providing serene water sounds.

Host Bea was great and communication was clear. The house was exceptionally clean which is a high on my list of requirements. The property and house were beautiful with lots of character. We even saw turkeys and peacocks near the creek and spent a decent time outside. I would come and stay again for sure! We found an amazing coffee/cafe 3 min walking distance that we frequented also. Their dirty chai was great as was all their food. Downstairs bed was comfortable but I’d prefer the upper beds to have a memory foam topper to make them extra comfy. Those were good for a few days. Overall very happy!

Had a great great stay in placerville. This house has recently been remodeled yet still has some old world charm and the expansive property was fun for our toddler to explore.

My favorite VRBO to date! We were greeted our first morning with some very friendly local turkeys and peacocks. Next morning we saw a baby doe. The cottage was so quaint and comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay! Thank you so much!!

Serene cottage

We traveled from Ohio and we stayed in this cottage because we had a wedding to attend a few miles away at Saureel Vineyard. The cottage had everything we needed. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the cottage but it was comfortable and suited our needs. We had breakfast one morning at the Buttercup cafe which was delish.. and took a stroll into downtown Placerville, which was lovely.

The absolute best!

This property was better than advertised! The backyard and the front yard, with all the twinkle lights at night made it feel like we were very far from any city, or other people. We were there for a family wedding and I had my sister and her family along with my brother and his family stay and there was so much room for us all. My nieces had so much fun with the pullout beds always deciding to sleep in a different spot haha. There were so many towels we never ran out, with 8 of us staying there. The house itself was so cute and cozy and we all had such a wonderful time. Would definitely book again!!

Quiet, cozy nature retreat!

My friends and I stayed here for a writing retreat and the location/house was perfect! Inside was cozy and well-appointed, with a gorgeous newly-renovated kitchen. But the star is outside! Even in early Spring before everything is in bloom, the gardens have so much charm with lots of places to sit and work/eat/chat. Loved the sound of the creek burbling nearby, and all the birds chattering. You get the feeling of being away from things, while still being a two minute drive to a supermarket! And it's an easy 10 minute drive to multiple fantastic wineries & downtown Placerville. Highly recommend!

Only place we will stay

This was our second time staying at this cute little cottage in Placerville. The house is clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the location is perfect - close supermarket, freeways, and breakfast restaurants.

Girl's Trip

The property is absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for anything more, there are numerous outdoor seating areas that are all gorgeous, we loved the fairy lighthouse building especially at night time. When we first got there and we're unpacking I looked out the bedroom window and we saw deer grazing on the grass and it was a beautiful moment. We absolutely love the kitchen and all of the detail put into it. Our only complaint would be that the barbecue gas was not hooked up and had not been cleaned, we may do without it and it was totally fine. The property is stunning and we love that the outdoor lights are on a timer. We will definitely be staying there again! Thank you Bea for opening your house to us!!

Friends getaway

First time booking a vacation rental home. I couldnt have had a better experience. There was 8 of us. House was remarkably clean. Communication with the owner couldnt have been better. Kitchen appliances were pretty state of the art. kitchen knives, pots and pans all looked be almost brand new. Tv was 50+ inches and i believe 4k. Wifi speed was plenty fast. Theres even a bluetooth speaker in the fan in the downstairs bathroom. Heating system kept the house cozy warm. This property set the bar pretty high for me when it comes to vacation homes. Im already thinking of when i can go back.

About 1 hour from South Lake Tahoe and Kirkwood Ski resort.
