Love Cherry Grove

The Shalimar is a small older condo that is well kept and beautifully located. Walk to Snookys and Bolineaus grocery. Easy ride to main street and rt 17. Our 2nd stay on thebproperty and will be back.

Very Nice

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean, which means everything to us. Check-in was very easy. I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say. Everything was wonderful.

Stunning everything

We loved our stay here. I have only one recommendation - you might want to replace your couch and sofa in the family area. It is a bit broken down and by the end of the week our backs were hurting. Everything else was wonderful.

The condo set up and amenities was exactly what we were looking for. Had a bit of an issue checking in as there was a festival on Main Street. The condo was not completely clean. Visible surfaces were good, but the floor in kitchen and bathrooms had prior guests hair. There was a broom provided. We were good with a quick sweep. Neither bedroom sliding glass door was functioning. However, the living room door worked fine. The front door was apparently broken into at some point. A new entry door is probably on the list too. As I read in past comments, the living room sofa and loveseat really need replaced. We loved the cherry grove area and the condo itself. Would return.

Very nice and very clean Condo

Very happy with condo! Beautiful, clean, and quiet! Only complaint is we specifically used VRBO to get 5% back with our Capital One card, however when our card was charged it came through as Grand Strand. Any purchase gives us 1.5%, but 5% would of been better! Overall it is a great condo to rent!

Perfect spot!

The current pics do not do this condo justice. It exceeded our expectations in style, comfort and convenience. We loved the ease of stepping onto the beach from the property, but the large porch was glorious. Our only complaint was the elevator shut down on 3 occasions due to people holding the door open too long. Luckily we were on the 3rd floor so not terrible but we did like having the elevator when it worked. A new Keurig would be great but there was a regular coffee brewer and we used that. Perfect mornings with coffee on the porch with the ocean. We can’t wait to come back.

A lot of Grand to be had here!! :)

Check in was rough, as we were after hours & I couldn't reach the resort staff via phone. I wasn't able to find the email about the lock box, but finally did. Upon entering the condo the night of the 18th, everything was amazing, but later in the evening, we noticed an outbreak of an unidentified insect that today remains a mystery, lol. Being road-weary to the point of exhaustion (I'm a cancer/chemo survivor), I went on a rampage to eliminate the bugs, being successful enough to be able to sleep. The 19th, we headed to the grocery, only to come back to more insects, mainly in the den area window. It was almost as if they'd hatched around that window & were multiplying. I contacted Alicia at Grand Strand & she sent Thad out to spray. I was a little sleep-deprived & wasn't really keeping up with where he was spraying, bc he was also moving fast, that I forgot to mention the window, the MAIN area! After he left & we were getting more settled, I checked on the window, but they weren't dying. I saw the condo handyman out by the pool & asked if he could spray the outside of the balcony & window area. They still weren't dying. I later found a mini shop vac & that took care of them. Alicia was very understanding when we went by GS to show pictures/video & obliged us a late check out on the 22nd, since we lost most of Monday dealing with them. After that, it was total BLISS! We loved the almost seclusion in front of the building! Parking, beds, showers & balcony was the best!!
