Belle Petersonbay Chalet sur la rive est du lac Metonga

NichĂ© au cƓur des Northwoods du Wisconsin, ce chalet quatre saisons est situĂ© sur la rive est du magnifique lac Metonga. À seulement deux milles de la ville de Crandon et de l'autre cĂŽtĂ© de la route du nouveau sentier polyvalent de Wolf River (randonnĂ©e, vĂ©lo, VTT et motoneige).

Crandon est une charmante ville offrant des restaurants, des boutiques d'antiquitĂ©s, des boutiques de cadeaux et de vĂȘtements et un musĂ©e historique. Summer in Crandon propose de nombreux Ă©vĂ©nements, y compris les JournĂ©es du Kentucky, Art in the Square, et le World Run Brush Run Off Road Racing. Nous sommes situĂ©s Ă  15 miles du terrain de golf de 18 trous Nicolet Country Club, et six et vingt miles de Mole Lake Casino et Potawatomi Casino Ă  Carter.

Que vous soyez Ă  la recherche de vacances actives ou que vous souhaitiez simplement vous dĂ©tendre, le chalet Peterson Bay est l'endroit idĂ©al. Inclus dans votre location est l'utilisation d'un bateau Ă  aubes, canot, bateau Ă  voile, vĂ©los, kayaks, planches Ă  voile et bateau en rangĂ©e. Un 14ft. bateau de pĂȘche avec un 9. 9H. P. est disponible Ă  la location. Il y a aussi des impuretĂ©s Ă  la jetĂ©e si vous apportez votre propre bateau. L'observation de la faune est abondante de notre pont Hammock Ă  l'eau. Vous pouvez regarder les aigles voler au-dessus tout en cherchant du poisson.

Notre famille de Loons vous sĂ©rĂ©nade tard dans la nuit, et si vous ĂȘtes chanceux, vous pourriez espionner une loutre ou un rat musquĂ© nager devant la jetĂ©e. Un feu de camp, un jeu de fers Ă  cheval et S'mores est un excellent moyen de terminer la journĂ©e.

L'hiver au Chalet offre une multitude d'activitĂ©s. La pĂȘche sur glace est super, ou si le ski de fond est votre sport, nous avons trois miles de sentiers privĂ©s damĂ©s Ă  notre porte arriĂšre. Otter Springs, Eds Lake et Hemlock Lake Trails sont tous Ă  moins de dix miles. Le comtĂ© de Forest possĂšde l'une des meilleures motoneiges des Northwoods. Ces sentiers sont Ă©galement accessibles par notre porte arriĂšre. La raquette a un accĂšs illimitĂ© depuis notre propriĂ©tĂ©.

Great hosts and a beautiful handcrafted chalet! Our family had a great time and a great memory for us to remember. We brought our UTV for fall color riding and the trail access is directly across the street, super convenient. Hope to return for another adventure!

Family get together

Beautiful hand-crafted cabin on Lake Metonga with owner and long-time gracious family host in own cabin on property. Everything you’d want in relaxing setting with dock and boat usage. Nice aesthetics and taxidermy adorns the place lending a great North Woods vibe. Check it out for your next adventure.

My two day vacay

I greatly enjoyed my two day vacay at this lakehouse home! The family was extremely kind and helpful! The silence away from the city was amazing. It’s a different peace of life with nature rather than loud people and loud lights. I’m thankful for the stay and the access to the fire pit and the boats and the amazing space that was offered. Thank you so much and I’d love to go again.

Great weekend with my college buddies

Me and 4 of my friends stayed a weekend in late July. We loved the building and the architecture. The property was very nice and well kept. We swam by the dock, grilled out, played yard games, adventured around town, and had a camp fire both nights. I didn’t expect the owners to be in the property with us in a separate building, but it was never a problem. They were nice enough to set up games, kayaks, fire wood and other lake amenities for us. Super nice and seemed like fun people. Overall a spectacular weekend.

Outstanding stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Peterson Bay Chalet. The property was beautiful and the apartment was clean and cozy. Gary the host was incredibly nice and helpful. We enjoyed using the water toys and exploring the bay and the lake. We had everything we needed and enjoyed a long relaxing weekend.

Great hosts and the most unique property ever!

You must try this place. The owners are great people and make you feel welcome upon arrival. Even though the weather was pretty awful, we made the best of it and got to enjoy the inside of this very cool property! Thanks again for a great stay!!

fish heaven

Christine and Garry were very nice on arrival. Gerry showed us the property and let us use the whole property as if it were our own. On Saturday it did rain but Garry had hopes that we would catch some fish, he pointed us in the direction of where all the fish would be. after about 2 hours of no fish and 5 hrs of rain, we ended up catching our limit of crappies. Garry was very generous and lent us his fillet knives to clean our catch and provided his very cool frying saucer to cook our fish. over all the place was magnificent and the host was the greatest.

Wonderful Wood

Beautiful construction. the woodwork is amazing. It is a open concept lay out. there are walls but no celling on any of the rooms. Including the rest room. There is also no curtains on the windows. Lovely property but you are not right on the lake. There are also several animal mounts throughout chalet. So, it might not be for everyone. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Can't wait to go back!!

The stay at the Chalet on Lake Metonga was perfect!! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend getaway spot. The accommodations were clean, spacious and provided a great outdoor eating area for my meals. The views were beautiful whether sitting at the dock or swinging in the hammock. The hosts were gracious and provided me with privacy during my stay but were available to answer any questions or offer suggestions for places to eat and things to do. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful property on a lake.

Great experience in the second floor of a private home. The house had a north woods, hunting lodge feel to it. Full kitchen and an open concept with inside walls in the bedrooms and bathroom unattached to the ceiling. The interior was all wood and stone and was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The 2nd floor outdoor deck was available from a door in the kitchen and we had our morning coffee there on the comfortable chairs and table. We kayaked and enjoyed the paddle boat on the beautiful lake as an eagle flew overhead. Property owner is in another house on the property and they were friendly and helpful. Extremely happy with our stay.

Shared yard and firepit as well as Mice

When we showed up we were instantly greeted by the owner. He showed us around the property. It turns out that you share the yard and firepit with the owners. The firepit is right outside their back door and you can see into their home. They did leave for the day and evening on Saturday but it still felt uncomfortable for us. The cottage is upstairs above the garage. This is fine for most people but my mother has COPD and can't do stairs very well so that wasn't ideal. None of the rooms are really private as the ceiling is open throughout, bedrooms and bathroom included. This is fine but it would have been nice to have this item and the shared yard and firepit disclosed in the property description. There were also mice. I understand that this is the Northwoods but when you have fresh mice droppings on the kitchen table between breakfast and lunch it sure tells me there is a problem. I have stayed in many cottages throughout Wisconsin and never had this happen. There is a mouse trap under the one cupboard in the kitchen but it looks like it hasn't been maintained (rat poison/bait) in a long time. They also store garbage in the garage where the cottage is built on top of so that may also help the problem.

Very relaxing

Great experience enjoying the lake! Hosts were accessible and friendly. We made great use of kayaks and paddle boat. Crandon is cute little town close by.

Nice Place on a Nice Lake

My family of four enjoyed our stay. We took advantage of all the water sport equipment they had, kayaks, SUP, windsurfer, and with the protected bay we were able to test out our skills before going into the bigger lake. Beautiful sunsets and fire pit at night. The cabin was big enough for the four of us and had a nice northern Wisconsin feel. Crandon isn't quite as charming as some other WI towns, but has a great lunch place in Tricia's Bistro (highly recommend). The owners live on the property in a home that's kind of between the cabin and the lake. They were gone most of the week, which we were thankful for, but were very nice the days we were both there.
