Great cabin on a beautiful piece of property! The wrap around porch is the best with plenty of outdoor seating. We loved watching the fish in the pond and the deer visiting the pond. Driveway is steep so we were glad that we had 4WD.

Weekend Getaway

Large cabin with many areas to hang out. The porch was wonderful with many different seating areas. The location is very convenient to hikes and other activities. We had 6 adults and 3 children and the cabin was perfect!

Beautiful cabin and grounds. Easy check-in, kitchen had both a drip and keurig coffee makers! Plenty of room for a family group. The dock/deck by the pond was wonderful! Great fishing, we caught bluegill, bass, catfish..our largest at 16 inches! Used the fire pit every night with smores and campfire pies! Had a few issues with some items not working correctly, but owner was quick to respond and helpful.

Girl's Winter Weekend

Extremely Scenic, secluded without complete isolation. Alot of options for activities and space for everyone to have their own time alone. All the kitchen tools were provided and spices, a home away from home.

Beautiful place but there are some things that need to be addressed. The hot tub was dirty and the Master bathroom has several leaked that make it smell like mildew. Other than that, the place is gorgeous.

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing what you loved about the home. We’re so glad you enjoyed the space overall, and we sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with the hot tub and the master bathroom. I would like to point out the hot tub was not dirty, but the natural metals and minerals in the well water in this area do give off a slight hue to the color of the hot tub. Our teams drain, clean, refill, and chemically balance the hot tub after each guest checkout, but the slight water discoloration may have still been evident upon arrival. Additionally, we had a plumber out to the home to fix the leak you brought to our attention and all is well now!

Friends gathering

We had a wonderful stay. Gathered with friends to enjoy the fall weather. House is in a beautiful location. It was very clean. Kitchen is well equipped with anything you need. It is close to many attractions. The driveway is steep but we had no issues getting g up. Highly recommend.

Wonderful property

We had a large family group stay at this cabin and it fit our needs perfectly! 3 toddler girls slept in the loft beds for a nightly “slumber party.” Communication was very easy with a fast response time when anything came up. The pond was a source of lots of fun for our little girls, fishing everyday. The wrap around porch was incredible, even on the one very rainy day we had. We would definitely book again at this unique and amazing cabin!

Fun family trip with all over the age of 17. Everyone enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Tub needed attention but we called and they sent a service out. Did some hiking at the park. A note of caution- the driveway is no joke. It was icy and took 5 sketchy tries in our minivan before we made it to the top! Others had no trouble with AWD. A few minor concerns but it didn’t spoil our experience. Would be a great rental in the summer.

We also appreciate you letting us know about the hot tub during your stay—our team was happy to get someone out quickly to take care of it. Regarding the driveway, you’re absolutely right that it can be steep, especially in winter conditions. During icy or snowy weather we do recommend AWD/4WD when possible, as it makes the climb much easier. We’re glad the few minor issues didn’t take away from your trip and truly appreciate the feedback. We had some problems with the unit when we arrived. The owner was quick to call the maintenance man and refrigerator technician. There is only one set of exterior steps into the cabin. The steps are steep and the treads are short. The view is pretty and tranquil.

Pleasant

We really had a good time here! The place was spacious enough and definitely enough to do. Clean, and very upkept. What really surprised us was when we arrived there was a high chair and a pack n play. It made thing SO much easier with the kids. Definitely an added bonus. The hot tub did have an error on it when we arrived. They walked us through it effortlessly and it was perfect! Overall we had a good stay and wouldnt mind staying there again! Such a beautiful area.

This place is built for fun

This property has so much potential .. but they have issues to address. We had a lot of fun at the pond and the kids loved the yard. We loved the porches.. but they could use a good cleaning. We had issues with a serious leak from the upstairs bathroom.. and the sink was clogged from day 1 so we couldn’t use that bathroom. There are no curtains in one of the bedrooms so it got terribly hot!!! All that aside this place has some magic and we made great memories!!

Our Family Get-Togethef

We stayed at the Lookout for 9 days. Our group included my wife, Zita, and myself, our daughter, Katie, and her husband, our son, Rob, and his wife, their daughters (ages 5 and 8), and his wife’s nephew visiting from Japan, and our second son, Stephen, and his wife. We had a great time: we made some meals as well as dining out a number of times, we had a fire a couple of times, we golfed, canoed, zip-lined, shopped for antiques and mini-golfed. Of course, not everyone did everything but there was enough variety so that everyone got to do something they liked. Everyone said it was a great time!

Perfect work retreat location

This property and cabin were amazing! Five co-workers booked this cabin for a work retreat to update or business protocols. The cabin was big enough for all of us to have our own individual space for research and still provided common places to meet as a group and discuss protocol modifications. Even after work was done for the day, the property setting provided for continued networking business discussion in a relaxed environment. The wrap around porch was a fantastic feature that we took full advantage of. The cabin was very clean and pristine. Every detail seemed to be considered by our host. All we had to do was bring our food for the week. While this was a business trip for us, we all agreed that this would definitely be added to our family vacation spot list. I hesitated to leave a good review because I would selfishly like to keep this a hidden gem. Too many good reviews and this place will be much more difficult to reserve! This location is definitely at the top of the list for future business retreats!

It was ok

The cabin was nice. Not as clean as it could have been. Tops of furniture and cupboards wiped off, but dust on the ceiling fans, bottom of the end tables and elsewhere. Said they had a Keurig, they didn't. Missing pool balls, video game was missing a gun, no Roku remote on tv in main room...lots of little things. Kitchen appliances, pans, pots, etc, were all over (not organized at all.) Not all the plates, glasses were clean. Dish cloths looked washed, but stained and looked kind of icky. Over all our stay was nice and we made due, but it definitely, was not what I thought we paid for.
