Good Times in the Yellow Friendship House

Get the most out of your vacation in this adorable, private cottage in Hale, Michigan. Evergreens and birches surround this sweet little home, which sits on a beautiful peninsula on Stylus Lake. Enjoy the diverse wildlife of the lake on kayaks or a John boat, and get some great fishing in, too! The property is only two hundred feet from an adjoining all-sports lake, and there is wonderful hiking, cross country skiing, and ATV trails near by. Make a fantastic bonfire or enjoy the sweet little back porch in the evenings.

Enjoy beautiful views from every room! This little home has two bedrooms, one main bathroom, and a guest mini-house in the back yard. The full kitchen and newly renovated sitting room make this cottage the perfect place to enjoy time with family and friends and to make great memories.

Amazing place to stay with great fishing!!

This house is a great place to stay! All of the amenities listed were accurate too. The lot is beautiful and spacious. The row boat was perfect to go fishing. We caught tons of bass, pike and crappie. Would love to go back to this place.

Peaceful location, beautiful views

The wife, our 2 dogs & I truly enjoyed our stay here. We could enjoy the evening at the fire pit or on the picnic table at the waterfront. They had kayaks and a John boat that we could enjoy also. Over all a great place to enjoy.

Peaceful and beautiful retreat

The yellow friendship house is a little gem, tucked away and with lovely views out from the kitchen. My dog enjoyed sniffing around especially down by the lake. We had a wonderful time!

Beautiful home in an awesome location!

We LOVED our time at this house! Waterfront and a beautiful property in the forest. The pictures dont do the location justice, our kids had a ball catching fish and frogs along the waterfront. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful property!

Beautiful house and scenery.

My wife and I stayed for two nights with our 3 children and dog. We loved taking the kayaks out on the lake and did some fishing. The pictures do not do this house justice. It was very comfortable and inviting. We did wish there was some type of fence to close off the property from the campground you have to drive through to get to the house. Other than that we give this place 10/10. Would definitely come back.

Adorable cabin with the cutest back porch.

We enjoyed many hours on the back porch watching the hummingbirds. Our daughter loved the hammock, and the doggos took in all the smells. It was a relaxing and beautiful change of scenery. The house was full of creative touches, as well as fresh flowers. Everything was better than described, and Tammy has the place stocked with pretty much anything you could need. It was just lovely.

Enjoyed the unique home

We had a great time on our girls getaway Hosts were excellent and very responsive House had many unique items and was very cute, very interesting and very clean. It was pretty peaceful for most part despite being so close to small campground we weren’t aware was there Also states 3 kayaks but only saw 2, 1 single and 1 tandem. Other single may have been there but we didn’t see it Overall we had a great time there and on the river/Tawas Bay and we so needed the break, thank you!

Short but Sweet

It is a lovely property on a quiet lake. It was very relaxing and close enough to get away for a short time. Tammy was very responsive to any and all communications. Would definitely recommend this spot. No real swimming availability but that was not why we were there. The bird watching was especially fun!

Great stay for the 2nd time.

The yellow friendship house is absolutely adorable! Tammy has the house stocked with every and anything you could possibly need. The house is well maintained and the beds are comfy. We enjoyed the firepit area and it is dug in so perfectly that even on a windy day it was no problem. For me, the best spot is the back porch, which is as cute as it can be. Many miles were put on those rockers while taking the views and wildlife. Thanks again for sharing your home with us! And the flowers are an appreciated touch. The Sheen Family

Relaxing

Home is older & maintained very well considering the age of the home. Spent most of the time enjoying the huge fire pit we managed to find a local who sold wood. The area has wild life saw deer, coyote, turkeys, hummingbirds, woodpecker& toads. Local meat market in town of hale has very good selection of meats. Wasn’t impressed with the lake like marsh.

Beautiful property, charming lake house

Spacious & very clean house, comfortable beds, priceless view, easy rowing on the quiet lake. A bonus for us, besides the Johnny boat, was the perfect patio where we comfortably sat & looked out at the oak & pine woods & the lake. The bird feeders brought a good stream of birds we don’t usually see. Kitchen is large & well-equipped, & also well- lit. Fast Wi-Fi. Excellent value. Excellent, fast communication with owner. We would return in a heartbeat.

Slice of heaven

Yellow Friendship cabin gives all the right "up north" vibes. The cabin was adorable and set in the perfect spot to enjoy the lush Michigan summer on the lake. Mornings on the patio were peaceful, calm and restorative. Listening the the woods wake up was my favorite part of the stay. Tammy was very responsive and check in was a breeze. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided, pots, pans, coffee and games. The only 2 minor issues were that the washing machine was out of service and the little house did not have power. That changed up our sleeping arrangements. We will absolutely be going back.

Nature-lovers paradise

What a warm and engaging place to enjoy family time in a beautiful setting. House is decorated in such a way that every room is full of treats for the eye. It has everything you need and when we ran out of one important item Tammy was there in a jiffy to provide it. One example of her thoughtfulness was to put a fresh suet block in feeder before we arrived, which provided a constant show of beautiful songbirds and brightly colored woodpeckers including the majestic Pileated and dapper Redheaded. Our 22-year old loved the hammock and my 85-year old parents loved the porch. We loved kayaking the very quiet and natural lake/wetlands. Didn’t see the Loon family but heard one. Can’t wait to return to this hidden gem.

Sometimes in life, we have family emergencies

We were very excited to stay at this property and it looks like a perfect place. Now all in all fairness to the host we were late to explaining to her the family emergency that occurred on Friday. The previous week in our trip was plan for Thursday for the upcoming week. And also in fairness to her, we really didn’t want to cause any stress because we thought that our father’s pelvis fracture was going to be taken care of by her brother’s family, but that’s a long story that being said we reached out to her I believe it was the day of, to explain to her we wouldn’t be able to make it, we gave her a very good explanation and I honestly let my wife Andrea handle it because she asked to. that said, I believe we got half of our money refunded. Now in fairness to the host again, I would also say this, if the money was ever coming directly out of her pocket. Meaning that verbal was not gonna give her a refund because of our family emergency and also I know I didn’t pay for the protection, so maybe I’m completely wrong here all I’m saying is that flexibility is
. The Nectar that The Lord’s Spirit gives to Lovers of Him. We are now heading up to Leland and staying at the Fallingwater’s lodge Labor Day weekend and we will continue our forever home search and it will be freaking awesome. God bless you host and God bless anyone who stays at their house you’ll have a great time. This place looks awesome.
