Lakefront Getaway: private beach, hiking, wineries and Finger Lakes attractions

This air-conditioned lakefront home is just waiting for couples and families who want a place to get away from it all, have fun, relax and enjoy a view of the lake, with sitting areas both indoors and out. Beautiful Seneca Lake is only a few steps out the front door. The home is centrally located in the heart of FLX wine country, with a half dozen wineries located within two miles. The seven mile Keuka Outlet Trail for hiking and biking is close by as well.

Inside, the house includes a living room / kitchen combo with a couch and chairs, a 42" TV and high-speed Wi-Fi. A fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and snacks, and an outdoor barbecue grill (propane) is available for cooking as well.

An awesome feature of this home is the fully enclosed porch with a comfy seating area. This room provides a perfect view of the lake and our park-like front yard for relaxing “outside” even on a rainy or cooler day. The dining table seats six and provides a great space for game playing, puzzles or guests who want to set up laptops and stay connected while still viewing the lake.

The home includes one king bedroom and one queen bedroom with all linens included, and one bathroom. Maximum occupancy is four people.

This home has ample space for outdoor fun by using two distinct yard areas, with one overlooking the lake offering seating at a picnic table. An outdoor grill is close by for cooking. The second seating area is down at the edge of the lake protected by our break wall. This area features a natural stone firepit with chairs for nighttime fires and smores, or lounging either in the sun or shade depending on the time of day.

A shale stone beach provides walk-in access to the lake to swim or take one of the available floats to “tie up” to a swimming buoy. We are located on a "shelf" area of the lake, which provides a shallower water area for little ones. You can also go fishing or take out one of our two kayaks during the day. A small dock provides a view of the lake.

This home is near the end of a private drive for a quiet and tranquil getaway.

Highlights within a five-minute drive include Anthony Road and Fox Run Wineries (plus several more) and the Spotted Duck Creamery for some of the best ice cream in New York State. The Keuka Outlet trail offers several parking areas nearby to explore this seven-mile biking and hiking trail that goes all the way into Penn Yan.

Other “must see” attractions within an easy drive include the Watkins Glen State Park (25 minutes), Grimes Glen Park (35 minutes), The Glenn Curtiss Aviation Museum (30 minutes), the Windmill (20 minutes) and the Corning Glass Works (one hour).
