Peaceful and Serene

If you are looking for a place that's a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle that has a peaceful and serene environment, this is the place. Beautiful views with lots of cool wildlife. Our family had a wonderful stay. Just wish we had been able to stay longer!

Wonderful step into the past home!

We loved our stay at this home and we’ll definitely be back. The girls loved feeding the catfish in the pond and bird watching. Great place to stay if you’re able to appreciate the older style/antique type. The home is welcoming and charmed us all!

Peaceful and serene

This place is well off the beaten road. If you love nature, peaceful, quiet, rustic, this is for you. Wildlife is abundant, daily visits by local deer, mom, babies, teens and adults! Foxes, and assorted birds. This is a sanctuary and nature rules here. We loved it.

Remote getaway

If you are looking for a reasonable, remote getaway, this is it. Very peaceful! Our grand daughter was afraid at first due to its remote location. She quickly came around. Great views of the lake, as we sat at the kitchen table playing game. Air conditioning could need some assistance. Owners were Great!

nice property, far away from everything. Large mid century ranch with plenty of room / all the amenities you need. As noted in other reviews, wireless service and internet / wifi was spotty but I would return. 90 minutes from DC

Solitude

The rental was lovely and serene with peaceful surroundings. But be careful what you wish for! Communication by cellphone was important but difficult when wifi was off. Host did what he could to restore wifi but over the holiday it was delayed. Also AC wasn't quite adequate and had to be supplimented with fans.
