We had an excellent stay! The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The property was everything we expected and more. Being our first trip out there, we had high expectations and were definitely not disappointed! Thank you Upper Canyon Lodging for such an amazing and memorable experience. We will definitely be going back!

Tv didn’t work

Enjoyed our stay the only thing we couldn’t figure out was the tv in the living room the remote would not work. Other than that we had a great time thank you so much !

The property owner did a great job redecorating the cabin, putting in nice appliances, furniture, etc. However, whoever takes care of the property and cleans it did a terrible job, which greatly detracted from our experience. The hot tub was dirty, the oven was so greasy, we had to clean it before using it, the front porch area had not been touched in months, the television in one of the rooms was not functioning, and, the reclining club chair was completely broken and had been propped up against a wall. In addition, some extremely strong cleaner was used on the wood table in the kitchen and reeked the whole time we were there (it had soaked into the wood)…We couldn’t put anything on it, let alone eat on it. The property owners responded quickly to our communication, but, it would’ve taken way too long for their “team” to take care of all these issues, and I highly doubt the chair and table could’ve been resolved during our stay. If anyone is interested in renting one of their properties, I would recommend confirming the condition of it prior to arriving.

Thank you for staying with us and for the feedback. We do need to clarify the couch/chair has been completely replaced, getting furniture delievered to Ruidoso is unfortunately a long process. We do keep other table and chairs (temporary) that we coculd have provided, unfortunately we were not made aware of these issues until this review, though they are appreciated. The front porch is part of a weekly rotation between our over 80 units, we have a dedicated outdoor maintenance person. Unfortunately being amongst the very old and very large ponderosa pine trees, we get pine needle accumulation faster than it can be removed. We also have a dedicated hot tub person who measures all chemicals electoroncially and empties and cleans the tub frequently, we will bring this up with them promptly.

There were bugs … and house smelled.. some mildew was seen in bathroom didn’t have good pits and pans I had to go buy one.

We wish these concerns had been brought to our attention during your stay, as our team would have been happy to inspect and address any issues with bugs, odor, or the bathroom. We will have our team inspect the property based on your comments. We’ll also review the kitchen inventory to ensure the appropriate pots and pans are available for future guests.
