Welcome to Casita Big Bear. Located on a quiet, tree-lined street just minutes from the lake, skiing, tubing, the Village, and much more, Casita Big Bear has everything you need to unwind and enjoy all Big Bear has to offer. From a welcoming front porch equipped with a gas fire pit, you will enter the cabin’s living room, equipped with a Smart TV, a wood-burning fireplace, and a variety of board/card games.Through the hallway you will enter the kitchen/ dining area, complete with a 6-person dining table, stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and coffee makers/ teapots. Upstairs in the Master bedroom enjoy the comfortable queen bed with views of the neighborhood’s beautiful pine trees, and in the equally spacious guest room enjoy a bunkbed and full bed as well, with views of the backyard pines and opportunities for bird-watching.

You will appreciate the newly installed Nest app to manage your heat and air conditioning in the winter and summer months, and also the new hardwood floors that add to the charm of this quintessential Big Bear cabin. The downstairs bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower, and the cabin also boasts a back deck with a sitting area and bbq, along with a backyard that offers plenty of room for snow play in the winter months and relaxation in the summer months. We hope you enjoy and return again to what has become our favorite place to unwind!

Great host, cozy home
Our stay at Big Bear was great, the rental home was perfect and met all of our needs. The home is not the most modern but I think the pictures and listing was an accurate description. Linens were provided (the bedding was super cozy!) and very clean/fresh and the kitchen was stocked better than I expected. The couch wasn’t the most comfortable but we only used it so much because we stayed during an short notice storm and lots of rain. Nancy was friendly, easy to work with and conveniently reachable for check in and follow up. She was even kind enough to mail our toiletry items we left behind when I asked. Our stay felt like a home away from home. Thank you!

We have children ourselves and have included a high chair and pack n’ play for other families to use, along with a variety of board/card games for you to use. Cooking enthusiasts will have all they need, and for those that are looking to enjoy Big Bear’s variety of food/restaurant options, many are just a short walk or drive away. Nature lovers will appreciate the trees and birds that flock to the cabin’s backyard, and both the lake and the mountains with ski-snow adventures are just minutes away from the cabin. We hope you enjoy our favorite place to unwind in Big Bear!
