Overall a fantastic stay. We loved being able to walk to the beach and restaurants as well as and the convenience of newrby bike and kayak rentals.Parking was pretty easy in May, but I could see it getting congested during the summer.

Location was great but can definitely tell this is an old hotel room. Not much of a kitchen to do anything. Would’ve been nice to have more than one dishrag and towel. Would recommend a larger refrigerator that has a freezer like the other rooms had. For those checking in at night like we did would’ve been nice to have a map of the property instead of going building to building with poorly lit signs. Overall was good, but not worth the money being charged for this room.

If you need anything during your visit we would have had it delivered. We have not experienced any lost guest upon arrival but we will see if we include a map with your arrival instructions since the association does not have one on property. We could not recommend staying here at Islander on the Beach any more. Our room was very clean upon arrival. The balcony has a beautiful view of the ocean and the unit was stocked with anything we possibly could need. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and other various things like knives and cutting boards to be able to make small meals. They also provide 2 beach chairs and 4 beach towels which was perfect to use at beaches throughout the island. The property also has plenty of chairs at the beach and pool. The pool on property is never too crowded and we loved going to the pool's tiki bar tiki bar for happy hour (3-6pm). You're walking distance from Lava Lava Beach Club for dinner and we often walked through the parking lot to the Coconut Marketplace for food (there's a few great options if you're not wanting to cook or drive somewhere) or the ABC Store. We plan to stay here again on our next trip to Kauai!

Lovely view, could leave lanai door open all night to listen to the waves. Next door (Lava Lava) is painting their roof. Beep beep all day from the equipment. It was annoying as well as construction at Islander On the Beach…..but all in all, a lovely unit. In unit safe still doesn’t work. Thank you host for the full size Coffee Maker!

Lovely

A perfect getaway for our honeymoon. The beach access was perfect for late afternoon relaxation. Proximity to the marketplace and other shops made it easy to find food options in a pinch. If we ever find outselves in kauai again we will stay here for sure!

I loved the location of this resort. My specific room had a great view of the ocean, great to wake up to every day. It was clean and had all of the amenities that was needed. Only thing I would have liked in addition would be a boogie board.

Truly the perfect place for us. Sunrise view every morning, steps away from pool, hot tub, and beach. Great walking path. Lots of restaurants. Great home base to explore island.

A Perfect Kauai Home Base

Wonderful, comfortable, close access to beach and pool, able to see whales on the horizon one morning, access to staff easily, yummy Lava Lava Beach Club food and music, perfect jumping off point for all things Kauai, and wonderful to return "home" to this sweet abode.And if you have to close the sliding glass door to the lanai because of rooster crowing, the fan/ac unit is super quiet and helpful! Would definitely come back to stay here again.

Great stay!

Very convenient location, 35 minutes to Poipu and 35 minutes to Hanalei. We loved how we could see the sunrise over the ocean from the bed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. AC worked great. Loved having the coconut marketplace right next door, super convenient for food and supplies. We would stay here again, the listing was very accurate.

Islander at the Beach

The expansive property was secluded and beautiful even though it was a short walk to restaurants, grocery, shopping and shaved ice. The room/bed was very comfortable and it was always quiet and peaceful. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the waves.

Kauai adventure

The property was beautiful, the view from the balcony was nice with both garden and ocean. It was quiet and relaxing. Kappa is centrally located on the island making it easy to visit both the north side and south conveniently. Just wish we could have used the onsite laundry, but we managed. Mahalo
