Immerse yourself in Washington’s wilderness in a deluxe modern Airstream with vintage flair! Located just minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park, our 25’ Airstream sits on nearly half an acre of Douglas fir forest by the Nisqually river. Cozy up with a board game or plan your next adventure on the topographical map of Mount Rainier. Outside, relax in the covered hot tub, stroll by the river, or snuggle up by the firepit to roast s'mores under a starlit sky. The perfect escape into nature!
The space
Luxury glamping at its best! The Alpine Airstream has 250 square feet of interior space and is perfect for a couple or 2 close friends looking for an escape into the wilderness. The 2021 Flying Cloud Airstream has both modern amenities and a few unique systems that allow it to be in such a spectacular location. Everything is clearly explained, please read the details to make sure it’s a good fit for you.

THE KITCHEN: The kitchen comes fully equipped to prepare your meals. You will find a 3-burner stove, freezer/refrigerator, microwave/ convection oven combo, coffee maker, cutting board, utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, and a sink. There is also an assortment of pots and pans, as well as a tea kettle. The dinette table features a topographical map of Mount Rainier.

THE BATHROOM: The bathroom has a sink and toilet. There is a separate shower with hot water for short (camping-length!) showers :) Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion are provided, as are luxury bath linens and spa robes for your use with the hot tub. The toilet has a 40-gallon waste holding (black) tank. If you stay more than a couple of days, we will come and empty it as needed.

SLEEPING: The bedroom has a queen sized bed outfitted with luxury bedding and an iconic Northwest Pendleton blanket. The main room has a convertible sofa bed, as well.

HEATING AND COOLING: The furnace and A/C will keep you comfortable no matter the temperature outside.

OUTDOORS: Fairylights illuminate the covered deck with a hot tub and a lounging area. Spa robes and slippers are provided to guests. In front of the Airstream is a firepit with Adirondack chairs - just bring some firewood, snuggle up in one of the wool Pendelton throws and get those smores going! There is also a gas BBQ for your use. Follow the trail leading down to the wild and beautiful Nisqually river (a 5 minute walk) where you can enjoy the view or have a picnic (picnic blanket supplied!).

PLEASE NOTE: it is the guests’ responsibility to check if fires are allowed during their stay. Please check the department of ecology website before arriving (we are located in Pierce County). We will also post signs if there is a burn ban.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property. The Airstream, covered deck and firepit area are all available to soak up the serenity of the forest. You can also access the banks of the Nisqually river via the trail from the property.
Other things to note
Please know that this home is located in a neighborhood with both residential and vacation rentals. This is a very quiet area even though there are a few other houses/ cabins within sight. Please observe quiet hours (9:00pm - 8:00am)

- There is no WiFi. Phone coverage is good with T- mobile & Verizon, coverage with AT&T is spotty.
- There is a single security camera facing the driveway where you pull in.
- If you are booking in the winter months, please be aware that power outages and freezing temperatures are a possibility. In the event of a power outage, the Airstream will automatically switch to its internal batteries and everything will function as normal.
- This is a non-smoking property. There is no smoking or vaping of any kind in the Airstream.

Mount Rainier National Park’s Nisqually Entrance to Longmire and Paradise is located less than 5 miles from the property and stays open year-round. Hiking, climbing, fishing and snowshoeing opportunities abound in the area. Please feel free to use the provided guidebooks to plan your next adventure!
The Nisqually River is a 5 minute walk away via a trail from the property. Pack some drinks and snacks, grab the picnic blanket and enjoy happy hour along the banks of the glacier-fed river!

The tiny town of Ashford is home to many expedition outfitters. It also has a few restaurants, an art gallery, and a small general store. We recommend you stock up on groceries before you arrive as the Ashford store has a limited selection of goods. Firewood is available for purchase in Ashford - don't forget to bring kindling! Also bring whatever spirits you enjoy as you can only purchase beer and wine in Ashford.
