In a very accessible area (using a car) for the famous and very popular French Riviera, (or Côte d'Azur) with Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Frejus and of course not forgetting St Tropez.
(all within 1hr 10 minutes),
The Côte d'Azur has a beautiful red rock coastline, featuring both small intimate coves and expansive white sandy beaches.
Yet staying in a beautiful calm mountainous area, close to the authentique French village of Claviers.
Claviers village is intimate, friendly and very french, you can soak up the atmosphere of locals, drinking wine, eating at the restaurants and chatting at tables, in the central paved area of the village, or watch them playing boules next to the French café, or you can meander down the tiny quaint streets of this medieval village hill topped village, taking in the surrounding mountainous views.
Or indeed visit the nearby villages of Bargemon (4km) with its fresh water fountains, restaurants, bars, cafés and outdoor communal swimming pool.
Or the village of Callas (5km) the 3rd beautiful village to complete our special triangle of villages.
All have their own market days to enjoy local produce and each village hosts a special 3 day summer festival (Fête du village) with live music, dancing, and shows which are such a delight and certainly a highlight in the summer period.

Beautiful mountains and lovely walks are a short drive away and with just over an hours drive you can visit the verdon regional national park with its spectacular gorges du Verdon and the turquoise Blue Lake of the "lac St Croix". where you can go Kayaking, hire a pedalo with a slide, or take it easy with an electric boat, on the beautiful clear waters of the lake. Or visit the plateaux de Valensole on the other side of the lake (between mid June and mid July) for the spectacular fields of lavender. [1½ hours drive)

In the other direction a 1½ hours drive will also give you a taste of Italy or Monaco.

This villa has an enclosed garden for those of you with pets, it is peaceful, fully equipped as it is my main residence for most of the year and has a lovely covered terrace for eating outside in the heat of the day and an additional area for eating breakfast in the garden in the cooler mornings, or for catching the last rays of sun with a glass of wine.
The house has air-conditioning in the living area to keep you cool during the hot summer afternoons.

Nice is the nearest airport (75km), 1hour 10 minutes by car it is a nice easy drive.
