Welcome to BaseCamp Smoky Mountains! This villa called “Grounded” is one of three units centrally located, minutes from the Little Tennessee River and all area attractions. Upscale furnishings, hot tub, and many amenities to list make this the perfect getaway. Centrally located between The Nantahala Gorge and Bryson City makes it the perfect Basecamp for your next adventure. Luxury accommodations include artisan mountain spring water from our own water source, completely private and gated, fine linens and finishes, and accordion doors that open the entire unit for a true Immersive Nature Experience.

Located on the iconic Needmore Road and centrally located to all major area attractions, our resort provides convenience, comfort and safety for your stay in the mountains.

Only 1 minute to the Panther Branch takeout of the Little Tennessee River, National Forests and green space, you can hike the forest and fields without the crowds, set up a nice place on a private beach or simply drive the miles of riverfront road.

Basecamp Smoky Mountains has many amenities, beautiful landscape lighting, eco gardens and trails to enjoy while onsite.

5 mins to Nantahala Gorge, Appalachian Trail, Tsali Mountain Bike, Fontana Lake, and Bryson City and in the middle of anything you’d want!

*Pets welcome up to 35lbs - 1 pet max!

All private space for Grounded plus hiking trails, common area fire pit, outdoor Garden House and all eco-Gardens.

*The weight limit for dogs is 35 lbs.

This unit is next to our other unit “Elevation” and can be booked together for a larger space. Common area with fire pit, hot tub, eco-gardens, nature trail, close to Panther Branch take out of Little Tennessee River.

Additionally, we have two other villas and a home you can rent at Basecamp Smoky Mountains, or the opportunity to rent out the whole resort - reach out to us for more info!

The room was clean and we got all necessary information from the host plus a flyer about the area with tips where to eat. The cabin was very cozy and it was so nice to sit in the hot tub and watch the stars.

Everything was perfect. Great, fast communication. Beautiful grounds, fire pit and hot tub were wonderful. The location is close to everything we wanted to do. Coffee shop at the end of the road was convenient and good. We hiked by day and soaked in the hot tub by the fire at night. We loved our stay, will be back!

So clean and peaceful. Attempted to contact the property a few times for assitional information about experiences like the cold plunge, etc. Didnt get a response. But the property itself was amazing.

By far one of the best stays I have had. Relaxing, comfortable and far enough away to get out of the city. Definitely on the list for returns. The full open door option was a must! Being able to relax on the bed, with the cool mountain breeze, was so inviting. Kitchen was big enough to cook. The hot tub was relaxing, and private. A great place to get away.

Our stay at this property was exceptional. The unit offered a distinctive charm in a truly beautiful setting. The host was gracious, welcoming, and highly responsive throughout our visit. Everything was spotless and perfectly prepared upon arrival, with the temperature set just right. The property was easy to locate and access, and any minor concerns were addressed promptly and with great professionalism. Rena also shared an excellent breakfast recommendation that turned out to be a highlight of our trip. We would gladly return without hesitation. Basecamp provides wonderfully unique lodging options in Bryson City that make for a memorable stay.

Amazing and unique experience in this delightful rental. My husband and I came to drive the Tail of the Dragon Chili Hoop Loop in mid October. The entire stay was so wonderful, we actually booked an additional night.As retirees who love nature but are too old for roughing it this was ideal. The fact that I could fall asleep in a comfortable air-conditioned bedroon but open the blinds to to fall asleep looking at the amazing night sku. The hot tub was a great bonus after long days of exilerating driving. We will definitely come back.
