East Haddam is home to endless amazing parks, Hiking, Kayaking & skiing all within a 30 minute drive...Gillettte Castle & the Goodspeed Opera house are minutes away. Also its nice that a short walk away is tavern on the hill a great BBQ place, coffee/Pizza/Groceries etc..Machimoodus State Park and Lake Hayward are my favorites.
