Gaze out the kitchen window and view the sunrise across the field with wind turbines dotting the horizon. Enjoy the patio with its beautiful sunsets.The stars are bright in the clear night skies! And sitting in the camp chairs around the fire pit makes for a perfect evening! Carson city is less than 5 miles away. The friendly town has a lovely grocery store and the best pizza at Main Street. Harolds Dairy Delight is famous for its soft serve lemon icecream cone and has awesome breadsticks! There is a lovely park with walking trails and a splash pad for the kids. Seven Sisters Quilt Shop is a must for anyone that loves to quilt! Lola's Flower Garden has a beautiful display of gifts and flowers. The Muffin Top has all your favorites... from soup and salad, to a soft gooey carmel roll. Middleton is just a short distance to the East of Carson City and has the BEST apple fritters and Pasties in the state! Also a sit down Diner with a buffet.

Great Little Location!

The Cracker Box was just what we needed for a peaceful overnight stay as we traveled through the state!

Great house in the country

We enjoyed our stay. It was exactly where we needed to be for a family party. There are few options in the area and this was fantastic. Clean, cute, well stocked and just what we needed for our visit. We will definitely look to stay there again.

Perfect stay for wedding guests

My friends and I booked the Cracker Box for a wedding in Carson City and it was absolutely perfect! The home was clean, updated, fully furnished, and the hosts even left us homemade muffins and fresh cream miked from their cow! I would recommend staying here to anyone!

Quiet country cottage

We only stayed overnight for a school sports event but it was nice. The cottage is well decorated and stocked with essentials. Great communication and delicious homemade muffins 😋

Peaceful and secluded

The home was a such a welcoming place. The special gift of raw cream and blueberry muffins was so appreciated. I would highly recommend this beautiful property. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks again to Kate and Jeb.

Perfect!

I grew up in the area so I knew it well. It was so nice to get back to the true country of dirt roads and farms. So peaceful and that was exactly what we needed due to circumstances of our visit. Kate was a wonderful host and so accommodating. Looking forward to more visits!

Wedding weekend

What a great little place! We had a family wedding in the area and we drove from Iowa and this was the perfect place to stay. My son and his friend drove up from Georgia to stay with us. I didn't realize there was not a TV or even internet! But guess what, we all survived! And we were too busy anyway. The Cracker Box, was neat and tidy, the hosts were the best!! Answered our questions quickly, and were very helpful! 5 stars all the way around! Bonus were the fresh blueberry muffins and fresh cream for our morning coffee!!
