Save yourself the trouble and avoid this property. Upon checking in, our room smelled terrible, there was a badly patched water damage hole above the bathtub with what looked like mildew or mold stains still showing through the thin coat of paint slapped over it. The drywall right next to the tub was crumbled almost all the way through, and there was active black mildew stains all around the tub. We left immediately and went to the Landsby just down the block, a real classy place for only 45 more. Unfortunately, we left in such a hurry that we didn't take pictures of everything, and VRBO told us to go back and said since we still had an active reservation they had to grant us access again. They (obviously) refused, even though we had forgotten some beverages in the fridge. The clerk was only willing to walk us to the room and go inside himself to retrieve our property, but would in no way permit us entry to substantiate our claim to try to get a refund. So, lesson learned there. Also, just because a property is listed with VRBO doesn't mean they'll really do anything or that they actually verify anything. The day after the host messaged that they had reviewed the situation and had submitted a refund and that it might take up to 15 days to receive. I just checked again to see if it was still coming and was informed that the property owners had vetoed the refund and it was not forthcoming. So, in summation, buyer beware!!!!
