Fabulous stay in Grasse

We had a wonderful two week stay at the Villa. As a group of 6 adults and 1 baby, the Villa still felt extremely spacious. We enjoyed both the close proximity to the centre of Grasse and the privacy and amenities of the Villa, including the lovely pool, BBQ and open plan living space with beautiful views of the surrounding area. We are already talking about returning to stay at the Villa again in the future and would recommend it as a perfect base in the French Riviera.

Charming villa on a hillside

Our stay at this charming villa in Grasse, France was both relaxing and adventurous. Situated on a hillside overlooking the city as well as views of the Mediterranean, this updated villa provided a great location for many sightsee opportunities. Day trips included lovely medieval villages such as Gourdon and Eze, as well as popular spots like Monte Carlo, Antibes and my personal favorite, The Grand Canyon du Verdon. With charming shops throughout the old town of Grasse, we found a favorite restaurant - the Rendez Vous. The owners are a lovely couple who were willing and able to provide many insights as to places to see and things to do in the Cote d'Azur area. We highly recommend Villa des Parfums for a romantic getaway or a family and friends adventure.

Fabulous property

The property was in a great location and it was an easy walk into Grasse and the restaurants. The villa was presented to a very high degree. The overall quality was excellent. The bed linen and towels were a super quality. Our bed was huge and very comfortable. The kitchen area was well equipped although I did no cooking. The views from the villa across Grasse and down to the coast were lovely and sitting outside on the deck area for breakfast was great. The pool is situated in the lovely gardens and whilst there is a busy road on the boundary of the villa it wasn’t a major issue. The villa is extremely quiet at night. All in all this is a fabulous villa.

Magical scents and dreams

Being at this property in person amplifies how beautiful the photos are, and more. The owners were very communicative and accommodating. The housekeepers lovely and kind. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We happen to be there during an unusual heatwave in France, so the pool and air conditioning was perfectly refreshing. We had plans to drive and tour the south of France, but once we plugged in to our location, we unplugged from those plans. Grasse was so wonderful and magical that spending a week there, we now realize, was not enough. We even made local friends whom we spent the afternoon with at their home. My heart will forever be in Grasse. A special mention about the perfume by Villa Des Parfums. There were samples available in the home and I fell in love with it so much I purchased a bottle! If you are lucky enough to stay here, my wish for you is that your experience is as magical as it was for me and my family.

Un séjour de rêve !

Excellent séjour passé dans cette charmante villa à la vue incroyable et aux services personnalisés. Cette location offre une panoplie complète d’équipements, les lits et les chambres sont incroyables et les espaces extérieurs sont propices à la détente et aux moments conviviaux ! Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et se montrent très disponibles tout en restant discrets de sortes à ce que nous nous sentions dans notre bulle. La villa des parfums est une destination que nous allons très probablement renouveler.

Nice and Clean property.

We had a pleasant 7 nights stay in this beautifully done villa. Decoration is very classy , bedding is wonderfully soft. Hosts are extremely helpful and kind. My only point is that one will need to go down some stairs to go to the swimming pool. At the bottom of the stair , there is a little uneven surface. I twisted my ankle the first day, my friend has felt over. But our children have not had any accident. So I am not sure this is a negative point for everybody. I think a notice board at the end of the stair would be helpful. overall, we enjoyed our stay. A very good quality villa. Highly recommended.

What a delightful place!!!

Staying in this lovely, private apartment was wonderful! The view is truly gorgeous! The apartment itself is completely separate from the rest of the house - private entrance, terrace, fully appointed kitchen! Lovely! The apartment gives you a sense of peace without staying in the middle of town - and yet it is an easy walk into Grasse! I would love to stay here every time we are in Grasse!

Amazing location, hosts, and experience!

Staying at Villa des Parfums was a dream come true for my wife and me. The villa is located in a beautiful location of France, full of history, and perfect for relaxing. Nicky & Vincent were perfect hosts who provided us with information and support in taking part in activities in Grasse (we made our own perfume!), where to eat or visit and also touring further afield. On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of wine, fine cheeses, and meats and afterwards settled into bed with the most amazing and sumptuous sheets. Communication before and during our stay was excellent and they also helped us with a taxi to the airport. It was the least stressful and perfectly executed stay we have experienced anywhere. We have told many of our friends and hope to return soon!

What a fabulous place to stay!

The accommodations are wonderful, very modern, comfortable, and clean. The views are stunning and the grounds are so beautiful. Just a short walk to the city center with many fine shops and cafes. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. This is the perfect place to stay in southern France. Don't miss out on this gem!

This was awesome. From the designer decor, bedding and baths it was a luxurious stay. It has its own private entrance and a lovely pool for relaxation. Just minutes from town it’s an easy walk or just minutes by bus. Your hosts are most accommodating. It promises not to dissapoint if you stay and you will want to come back for certain.

Wonderful week in the hills of Grasse!

Our family spent a lovely and relaxing week at the Villa des Parfums. We were 6 people (my husband, myself, our 3 kids ages 10, 11 and 14, and my 77 year old mother-in-law). One of the bedrooms has an additional single sofa-bed, so all 3 kids were in one room - allowing all of us to fit very comfortably in the apartment! We spent hours sitting (with a glass of wine in hand!) on the balcony gazing out at the Mediterranean view, watching the sun go down and the lights come on. It was perfectly located for trips to the beach as well as to the hilltop towns - but only when we could pull the kids out of the pool! I enjoyed venturing down to the Cote d'Azur, but since we were there in August, I found the crowds to be a bit much! I loved being able to retreat to our own little oasis at the end of the day! The short walk in to town brought you to grocery stores, patisseries & the town square. The kitchen had everything we needed - and more - and everything was spotlessly clean! When we needed something during the week, we were assisted immediately. Nicole was so friendly and pleasant to communicate with - providing us with lots of suggestions for our week in the south of France - even offering to mail something that we forgot. Just writing this review makes me want to be there again...! We highly recommend the Villa des Parfums!

Beautiful, Luxurious Apartment

There were 6 of us staying at Villa Des Parfums for 3 nights, we were attending a wedding nearby and struggling to find somewhere we could stay for just 3 nights...in the end we could happily have stayed at Villa Des Parfums for 3 weeks! The apartment is beautifully decorated with all the amenities you could ask for and some luxurious touches too, the white fluffy towels, incredibly comfy beds and beautiful feeling bed linen. Perfectly located so it's just a short stroll into town, and a lovely swimming pool that feels very private even though it's quite close to the main road. The owners Vincent and Nicole couldn't be nicer and only too happy to help. We're already wondering if we can manage a return trip next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Stunning property in Grasse

What a perfect property for our stay in Grasse. There is nothing that hasn't been thought of at Villa des Parfums. Beautiful bed linens and towels, a very well appointed kitchen (with a few thoughtful touches left for us in the fridge), lovely toiletries in the bathroom and a fantastic pool. The whole property is absolutely spotless and the setting is wonderful - a short walk to the centre of Grasse, but on a peaceful hillside with breathtaking views. The thoughtful owners even left out a cotbed set up for our infant son with comfortable bedding ready for him, along with a baby bath and high chair. Highly recommend - I hope we'll return!

Fantastic property with stunning views

We stayed in this property as a big family and found it to be perfect. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The property itself was immaculate and was furnished to the highest quality. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Everything was supplied and ready on arrival. The welcome manual was extensive and thorough. The views from all the rooms are breathtaking and eating breakfast on the decking was a particular treat. The swimming pool is a lovely size with lots of deck chairs supplied. There is ample parking for your car (we had a small van and parked it with ease). The directions to the property were very clear and the town itself is small but very pretty. It is a short drive to Cannes which is the nearest big town. It's an excellent base for exploring the entire region and I would highly recommend this property to all of my friends.

Great place for R & R

We were delighted with both the villa and the caretakers, who proved to be warm and helpful people who answered questions, provided snacks and good recommendations. We came with another couple, good friends, who were also eager to explore the area. The site was a good starting off point for daily excursions to both medieval towns, panoramic vistas, and modern cities. We did have a car at our disposal, but availed ourselves of a recommended (very knowlegeable) tour guide with a car for an excellent overview. Cocktails on the patio with a view of the Mediterranean made for a special memory. Thumbs up! (and kudos to the mission work!)

Better than imagined!

We have stayed at dozens of VRBO properties in the past and never have we enjoyed one as much as Villa des Parfums in the lovely town of Grasse! The pictures do not do justice to this magnificent property! There is street that runs by the Villa but it is very quiet and absolutely does not affect the enjoyment of the property. Nicole is one of the finest hostesses we've ever met and offers the cleanest, best equipped and comfortable properties we have ever stayed at. The views of the town, the surrounding country and the Med with yachts dotting the sea are magnificent! The pool is sparkling clean with plenty of comfortable lounges and chairs. The queen size bedding is very comfortable with quality linens and cozy comforters. The towels are lush. The kitchen is beautiful and offers virtually everything you could ask for. There is a new Weber barbeque. High quality cabinetry with soft close feature. Lots of silverware; a selection of sharp knives and lots of plates, glasses etc. even plastic glasses for around the pool. All in all, a truly enjoyable, quiet and easy place to stay. Grasse is a old/new town of moderate size and the people are friendly. There are narrow alleys and streets to wander through; a wide variety of shops with something for everyone and many sidewalk cafe's to experience. And the perfume tour is interesting and only takes about one hour including a visit to the shop. ONE NOTE! Nicole gives good directions, however you must follow them closely! The 'street' indeed does narrow to a trail and we arrived after dark and went beyond and had to slowly, painstakingly back down a winding, extrodinarily narrow path using only mirrors. NOT RECOMMENDED for the faint of heart with a rental!! Thank you Nicole for your hospitality - we truly hope to visit again very soon. I'm originally from Scotland and am married to Vincent who is French, we have an 11 year old son and three older kids (17, 15 & 14) who also live with us.
We founded a local charity, Parfums de Vie in 2008, our goal is to improve the lives and opportunities available for the marginalized and underprivileged children and youth of Grasse, through a variety of educational programs and activities.
We believe that we can make a difference for tomorrow through investing in the youth of today, and Parfums de Vie has impacted hundreds of children and families, and become known as a force for good in Grasse and beyond.
Your choice to stay in our beautiful home helps us to keep doing this local community work that we feel so passionately about.
We absolutely love the outdoor life here on the French Riviera and enjoy walking, running and biking on the many fabulous trails right on our doorstep. We love swimming in the sea, waking up to sunshine 300 days a year and we never cease to be thankful for the incredible views of the beautiful and historic town of Grasse and the Mediterranean coast.
