Un magnifique front de mer, une cabane en rondins exposée au sud, nichée parmi les majestueux pins blancs. Regardez la brume se lever, écoutez les huards et prenez votre café sur le quai. Canoë ou kayak le long de la riviÚre Mattawa historique (lac Chantplein). Lisez un livre ou nagez. Faites griller des guimauves et regardez les étoiles scintiller presque à votre portée. We loved everything about this beautiful cottage. Our group of 6 adults was very comfortable. We were in the area for ATVing and the trail is right down the road. Hope to book a return next year.

Great spot!

This was such an awesome place. I would highly recommend anyone with children stay here. The little beach was great and the water was warm. The town of Mattawa is beautiful.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay! It was her first time to Mattawa and I was so happy to make so many new memories with her here! We will for sure be returning next summer. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Northern Ontario Gem

I highly recommend this little gem of a cottage if you are looking for a private and relaxing getaway. The cottage is clean and well maintained and offers a beautiful view of Northern Ontario nature at its best.

Second great atv getaway

This was our second time staying at the cabin for a long weekend atv trip. We booked this cabin again since we were so impressed when we stayed last year. Very clean, cozy atmosphere and right down the road from the trail system. Highly recommended.

Amazing family time!

A great mix of relaxation, fishing, paddling, swimming, board games, and horseback riding nearby. This was our second visit and it was just as amazing as the last. Tina and hubby were super responsive to any questions we had. Can't say enough about this place. We hope to be back again!

Great log cabin cottage, on nice private location. Everyone enjoyed the kayaking, canoeing, swimming and floating on the river. Well stocked cottage. Mattawa is a very friendly little town; go to the poutine shack! GB Beeton, Ont.

Beautiful cottage by the water!

Every detail was covered for this excellent getaway

We enjoyed an excellent week at this stellar log cabin cottage. The owners covered every detail and they were extremely responsive when we had questions. Despite some rainy days, there was still lots to do including the games that are supplied and Netflix for the teenagers. The only downside to this trip was having to leave.

Relaxation at Its Best!

Undoubtedly one of the most relaxing cottage experiences I've ever had! Lots of kayaking, canoeing, fishing and swimming for all and a beautiful view for reading / relaxing by the water. Also one of the quietest lakes I've ever stayed on. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and we were impressed by the well equipped kitchen. Time Stands Still Here

This is a special place, where time stands still. My husband and son both caught pike off the end the dock, and we enjoyed kayaking around the lake. Unfortunately we could only stay a few days because a family crisis brought us home early.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We've loved this log cottage for years and when the owners decided to sell their much loved summer home, we were blessed to buy it for our children. It's still a few years away before they will use it, so we are renting it out so that it will still be enjoyed. One year, we spent Christmas day there as an ongoing tradition and we can't imagine a more perfect setting. What a treat! A wonderful family occasion with a roaring fire, board games, laughs and hot chocolate!

Nature at her best, white majestic pines, clean lake/river, privacy yet not far from town, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, peace & quiet, marshmallow roast, BBQ, history, museum, art gallery, hiking trails, good & inexpensive golf. And we could go on!
