Welcome to Cottage on the Plains! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage is perfect for visiting the Auburn/Opelika area whether you're staying for an Auburn University athletic event or performance, golfing at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, or hiking at the Kreher Preserve or Chewacla State Park. There is truly no limit as to what adventures you can find here!

Situated right off of Shug Jordan Parkway, Cottage on the Plains is in the quaint neighborhood of Piper Glen and is less than 2 miles to the Auburn University campus! It's very close to Publix, Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market, Vintage 2298 Restaurant and the new location of Amsterdam Cafe. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to hang out, Well Red Coffee, Books & Wine on Donahue is a local favorite. Or head over to the old railroad town of Opelika for dinner at Zazu and stop at one of the breweries and distilleries downtown!

This home will sleep 8 comfortably with 2 king sized beds and 2 double beds. You will have coffee capsules provided for a Keurig, 2 smart TVs, high speed internet, a gourmet kitchen to prepare wonderful meals, a charcoal grill with a lovely back patio, and parking for 2 vehicles in the driveway. This home is pet friendly for 2 dogs only. Also, this home features a fenced-in backyard!

The cottage was the perfect accommodations for Iron Bowl weekend. Comfy, roomy, great location. Really hoping to stay here again for graduation weekend next year!

Property is fantastic and very convenient to campus. We came up for a football game and the location couldn’t be better for accessing campus. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage! Every detail was thoughtfully considered — from the classy Auburn-inspired decor to the fully appointed kitchen and cozy furnishings. It felt like home the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Perfect for a relaxing stay on the Plains. We can’t wait to return!

Great location; well stocked

This house is located in a growing neighborhood of new builds. The yard is perfect for dogs (and people when the weather is cooler); the house is clean and well stocked. Great service too. Highly recommend!

Auburn Rodeo and A Day

We were visiting our sophomore son with our younger son and his friend. The kids went to Rodeo and my husband and I enjoyed all the ADay fun including an Auburn win vs LSU. The house accommodated all of us comfortably, was went stocked and we love the back patio. Neighborhood is quiet and taking the back way out of the community, it’s a quick trip to campus via Glenn! Love this house and will definitely stay again!

Good Times on the Plains

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. It was clean, had all the amenities you need. The location was pretty decent as there is easy access to main roads to get you to grocery stories, restaurants etc... The walk to the stadium was a little longer than stated but about a 25 minute walk. However given the traffic that you would have to sit for along time so walking was the way to go and ultimately no big deal. We have stayed at hotels downtown in the past and we would definitely stay here again. I would recommend.

Perfect Graduation Weekend!

This sweet cottage was the perfect spot for our daughter's graduation weekend. It was clean, nicely furnished and so convenient. We cooked out in the back yard and enjoyed some wonderful family time together. The agent was extremely responsive, and the weekend was just amazing! I would 100% recommend!

Graduation Weekend

Great place for December Auburn graduation. Very clean with many amenities. Loved that we could bring our two small dogs and back yard was fenced in. Everyone thought place was so cute and convenient to Auburn.

Home was clean and in a great location. However, I’ve stayed in the same neighborhood in a similar home with 10x the accommodations than this home. The check-in instructions which I assume come from the rental company, Big Fish Reality, were very aggressive. They could have found a more polite way to state several instructions. The last thing you want when staying in a rental is to feel “in trouble” before you even get to the home. The home was scantly stocked with cheap paper products and trash bags and bath and body products. ie. shampoo, conditioner, body soap. This was stated in the description of the home, but considering I’ve stayed in similar properties for the same price who had ample supplies of all, this seemed very cheap to me. The most uncomfortable thing about the home was the very small and extremely uncomfortable sofa in the living room, which was paired with two uncomfortable rattan chairs placed under the TV. A low cost Ikea like sectional could easily fit into this space to make accommodate more guests and make them more comfortable. Even if guests don’t spend most of their time in the home, I think most still expect comfort for this type of rental.

Owners were kind and let us check out a little late. Only complaint was that we ran out of toilet paper in one of the bathroom because only half a roll was provide. Had I said something to the owners, I am certain they would have corrected the situation. Woudl definitely stay there again!!
