Misled, Miss wrecked, and Miss handled!
I don’t think that I could write enough information with all the things that happened to satisfy how horrible it was.A booked this unit and followed their exact check-in instructions. Instead of entering the correct unit, I unknowingly walked into a permanent residence home. It was filthy and clearly not intended for gas – but worse I was trespassing. They gave me a key combination that was supposed to be for my room and I entered someone else’s room. I was trespassing if the occupant had returned my Family and I could have faced serious, legal or physical danger.Despite this, the host insisted, I entered the “correct” unit afterward. I refused. Their inability to demonstrate basic organization or safety made it impossible to trust the environment. I never stayed, found alternate lodging, and I was still charged! Unbelievable!The replies felt like policy templates rather than real concern no assurance no accountability. Just a dangerous situation dismissed like a booking glitch. I wouldn’t recommend this company “Mary stay” that works through VRBO to anyone who values safety, professionalism or human decency. I have since reached out to VRBO and they’ve been more than gracious and are helping me work through this. I want to make clear that it’s not VRBO that it’s Mary stay and hopefully VRBO drops them.
