Accommodation were fantastic. Location was perfect for our needs. Mike was good with getting back to me however my email wasn’t able to get any verification. It was all worked out via text. Thank you for that. Overall outstanding. We hope to book again.

Loved it being so close to town we were able to walk to dinner, walk to get some kinda fancy tea and was next to the beautiful river walk and park. Great stay. Beds are comfortable and showers were hot. Would stay here again

Family weekend

The property is beautiful. Within walking distance to downtown Big Rapids and the riverwalk is right outside the front door.

We had a fantastic girls weekend at the house. This is the absolute perfect location being walking distance from downtown and Hemlock Park. We loved everything about it. It was spacious and perfect for a large group. Mike was also a great host and quickly answered all questions. Hope to stay many more times in the future!

Great property! We enjoyed our stay with our group of friends for parents weekend at Ferris. Close to everything and the home has been nicely updated and still have the feel of an old home woth lots of charm and character

Unique and comfortable stay

If you love architecture, this is the place to stay! I could not stop admiring all the intricate wood work that was preserved when the house was updated. So spacious for my group and very comfortable. Planning another getaway in the spring and hoping this will be where we call home for the weekend.

We were in Big Rapids to "kick off" the Ferris State Women Basketball season! Perfect location, beautiful home, Definity going to be staying again!!!

Had a 5 day stay at the property. House is spacious & clean, within walking distance of local restaurants and 5 minute drive of the main drag with chain restaurants and shopping areas. Host was quick to answer questions. Would stay agin if in the area.

FSU Parents Weekend

Fresh updates made to the house while keeping its original character. Tons of room. Very clean. Close to campus. Could be a little more "chill" space...larger couches in common area to gather for renters. Overall great price and place to stay.

Nice, clean property, lots of bedrooms.

Minimal seating, 2 small sofas for five bedrooms. No lighting in living room. This property has a lot of potential… as we think it’s a new VRBO. Overall, it’s clean, safe, spacious.

Graduation weekend

This is a stunning home that was perfect for my large family. The water was frozen upon arrival and our host quickly found us another home for the busy until it was fixed. My daughter was able to get beautiful graduation pics in the house. We had a fabulous time with plenty of bedrooms and space for games. We will be back

We recently stayed at this home for 10 days during a large family reunion, and overall we had a wonderful experience. The house provided plenty of space for our family to gather, relax, and make lasting memories. It was clean upon arrival, well-located, and communication with the host was prompt and easy throughout our stay.There are a few improvements that would make this property an easy five-star experience:* More TVs: For a home that accommodates large groups, having only one television in the entire house was surprising. Adding a few additional TVs, especially in the upstairs living area or some bedrooms, would greatly enhance the guest experience.* Updated Furniture: The furniture is functional but is beginning to show its age. Refreshing the living room seating and other common-area furnishings would make the home feel more comfortable and inviting.* Upstairs Air Conditioning: The upper level remained noticeably warm during our stay. It would be worthwhile to have the HVAC system inspected to ensure the upstairs cools as effectively as the main floor.* Kitchen Equipment: Homes of this size naturally attract large families and groups who plan to cook many meals together. While the kitchen is spacious, it would benefit from higher-quality cookware, larger pots and pans, sharper knives, and additional cooking utensils to better accommodate preparing meals for larger groups.These were relatively minor issues and did not prevent us from enjoying our stay. We were in Big Rapids for the State golf tournament and stayed at the house with the 5 sets of parents. The house was well located and offered enough privacy for those that wanted it, and enough space for us to socialize together. The only negative comment that I can make is there wasn't enough comfy furniture for lounging with this big group. Everything else was great!! Thanks

Alumni weekend stay

Overall good stay at this place. We had some issues with the furnace, but Mike did his best to make sure that someone came over right away to look at it right away and without being able to get it fixed, was able to place some heaters to make sure we are comfortable throughout the rest of our day. I would assume this is a one time occurrence.. the house is very comfortable and accommodating as we had five people stay in all of the rooms. Large tv. The only thing missing were coffee cups as we were able to make coffee and ended up using our yetis so it all worked out. We look forward to booking it for the same time next year with the same group.. thx.

Good space with lots of historical character. We used it well for our pre-xmas family gathering. Good location for downtown and the river walk. Comfortable beds, plenty of parking. Fairly well stock w/dishes, glasses, flatware, etc.Kind of sparsely decorated and the furniture is a bit too small for such large rooms. Could use spare chairs and blankets in the bedrooms. Back bedroom is unheated. Some small details need to be worked out like doors latches, towel racks, kitchen organization, etc. Cleaning crew could do a little better in the kitchen. Expect road noise from M20.Hoping this is an on going project house and the minor things are addressed as we plan to stay again.
