The Brenham Schoolhouse Hotel, elegant, historical and charming. Located in the heart of downtown Brenham, just steps away from the square where the vibrant smalltown offers numerous dining options, theatre, boutiques, coffee shops, bars and festivals of all sorts. The hotel offers a common area, lounge and kitchen with 7 private suites, one/two-bedrooms, all with coffee makers and oversized walk-in showers. Offered as a full hotel/venue booking or private suites individually. Inquiries welcome.

The Brenham Schoolhouse is a boutique hotel in the heart of downtown. The schoolhouse holds sweet history that will take you back in time decades, being the first public school in Texas. The building sat for years untouched but always remained a staple of the town, recently brought to bare bones and restored to what it is today, the hotel offers an elegant industrial charm that still holds history dear with remaining markers in place, giving a fun and vibrant ambiance you will be wowed as you walk through the masculine doors to this smalltown gem. The hotel is offered to be rented in full for approved functions, a perfect for pairing with retreats, rehearsal dinners, business meetings and upscale parties. The building boasts two stories with a large parking lot, fully fenced with gated entrance, multiple common areas such as a lounge area with TV, dining, kitchen, reception desk and multi-level patio spaces with outdoor dining tables. The hotel consists of 7 private rooms/suites, sleeping a total of 23 guests.

Very beautiful and interesting building. Unique and thoughtful design. 3 bedrooms downstairs with private baths. 4 suites upstairs with living room two separate bedrooms and shared bath. We had great extended family trip to celebrate a wedding. Across the street from a nice Italian restaurant and short walk to downtown

Family Wedding

The property is beautiful and worked great for our extended family members! Only a couple comments for improvements: the small coffee makers in the rooms either didn’t work at all or not well and there wasn’t a coffee maker in the main kitchen; and the oven had not been cleaned from previous guests and when we turned the oven on to preheat the residue in the oven smoked up the kitchen causing the fire alarm to go off. The good news is the Brenham fire department arrived in about 2 minutes! And they turned the alarm off for us and cleared the house of smoke. Simple remedy is to just make sure the cleaning crew has thoroughly cleaned the oven. We would definitely recommend the property for an event or extended family stay. Walkable to everything in town. We loved it!
