This historic home is the perfect place to start your St. Croix River Valley experience. Located steps from the St. Croix River Overlook and walking paths, two doors down from the newly remodeled Festival Theater, three blocks from the St Croix Medical Center, this home boasts historic charm, a prime location, and plenty of amenities. Enjoy local activities such as hiking, paddling, skiing, and taking in local vineyards, brewpubs, and plenty of shops, and activities all right in your backyard.

This home was amazing. Has so much history the wood work in it awesome. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the outside as well. Very quiet neighbors. If we are in that area again we will definitely stay there again. The only small issue we had was 1 shower for 7 ladies but we made due. Highly recommend this place to stay.

The host was fantastic! The house was absolutely incredible and comfortable. We had everything we needed to do cook, make coffee, do a little laundry, and even some travel size hygiene items were provided. The house was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. I especially enjoyed watching the snow fall from the kitchen table and the sunroom. There was plenty of room for our family to enjoy. My husband loved listening to records and the stereo system in the kitchen. I also have to mention the amazing water pressure in the shower. If I ever need a place to stay in that area again, this home will be my first choice. Thank you to the host for having us and sharing this beautiful historic home.

Sidewalks weren’t maintained during our visit…VERY ICY!The one bedroom at the top of the stairs on the left with the has a broken bed. One of the guests did not sleep well either night. When he sat down on the bed the other side of the mattress went up in the air and the bed frame was broken. The bedroom we stayed in appeared to have used sheets…very wrinkled and wasn’t made up very well giving it the appearance of dirty sheets. The floors throughout the house weren’t the cleanest, especially the kitchen. The one corner of the bedroom we were in had spider webs and dead bugs. The front entryway had dead Asian beetles on the floors.

We addititionally passed on your comments to our cleaners to make sure that we are not only cleaning but also performing good quality control before our guests arrive to ensure the 5 star quality stays we are known for.

This includes the beloved local Wannigain Day's summer festival, which consists of the local parade that starts at the Echo and weekly live music at the overlook. The backyard boasts beautiful summer gardens and three apple trees ready for picking in the fall.
