Welcome to our spacious, comfortably furnished 2 bdrm/2 bath condo in the Elkhorn area of Sun Valley, ID. This quiet location is well-off the main road. It is only a 7-min drive to the River Run ski lodge, downtown Ketchum, or the Sun Valley Lodge/resort. Two lrg bdrms (w/small child-sized sofa bed) offer plenty of room for a quick weekend, or a longer get-away! NF land is ~1/4 mi away; elk and deer are often seen nearby. 3 hot tubs, 3 pools, 2 saunas, golf, and 19 tennis courts are nearby.
The space
NOTE: wifi internet access is available in the unit (passkey req'd) or at the main Clubhouse (about a two minute walk away, no passkey needed). I may be able to accommodate less than 2-days notice (send me an inquiry and I'll do my best to work with you). The Ranch condos make up one of earliest non-resort owned multi-unit developments built in the Elkhorn area (ca. 1972). They are well-built and VERY quiet (double-wall/double-ceiling construction). Our Ranch condo is a great place to enjoy the calm peace and quiet of the Sun Valley area and is a great place to completely relax!
Guest access
Separate rental agreement (via AdobeDoc/echo_sign) is required after reservation confirmation. Ranch condo guests have access to the private Ranch Clubhouse hot tub and pool (NOTE: Seasonal access only: Summer access mid-June to Labor day; Winter access late Nov to early-April; spas/pools CLOSED after Labor Day-to-~mid-Nov and ~mid April- to-early June), showers, tennis courts, lounge area and coin-laundry (our unit has a separate washer/dryer). Ranch Clubhouse is open 7AM-9PM daily. In addition, Ranch guests have full access to two other Elkhorn/SVEA recreation properties: Harker Center (pools/showers/tennis) is just a 5 min walk; and Elkhorn Village (pools/showers/tennis/golf) is ~0.9 mi away (advanced notice required for guest access). All combined, Ranch guests have seasonal access to 3 spas, 3 pools, 2 saunas, 1 steam room, golf (priority AM tee times; reduced fees after 2 PM; must call ahead to confirm) and 19 tennis courts (including 2 soft surface courts that offer clay-like play).
Cleaning fees: I use a local cleaning company that charges a flat rate per visit. I may request an additional cleaning fee (~$40-$80) for stays longer than ~2 weeks or if I receive notice that the place was left in particularly rough shape.
Other things to note
Our unit has basic cable TV (local channels only); the TV has USB/HDMI ports, so you can hook up your own devices. AppleTV is also available (will need your own secondary accounts...don't forget to log out...).
WiFi internet access: signal is "H-guest_pano24" (or "...H_pano50").
POOL/SPA: seasonal access varies at 3 locations. Pools/spa closed during the OFF-SEASON (mid-Apr-June and Sept-mid Nov): please inquire as to what may be available during the off-season periods.
Winter skiing is just 8 minutes away at River Run lodge (Dollar Mtn. lodge, if you're just starting out, is even closer).
Great fishing is all around (if that's your thing). The Wood river is just 8-15 min away; Silver creek or Copper Basin can be accessed within 45 min.
There's plenty of room to store bikes on the front deck. The Ketchum/SV area has miles of paved bike paths, and awesome mtn. biking just about everywhere else!
