Quick getaway

This property is exact what is advertised and more. Among a great property, it has a great walking trail and a lot of places to eat and drink within walking distance. The dogs loved it too! Definitely will rent again.

The only redeeming quality of this rental was that it had direct access to the riverwalk. Every single part of the building was filthy. Upon entering the unit, they had a glade air freshener plugged in likely to mask the smoky smell. We immediately unplugged it and opened the window and turned on the fans to air the place out. The carpet and rugs were so dirty. I messaged the host and she was nice and offered to come vacuum however the timing did not work with our plans and I said I would do it. The vacuum in the unit did nothing. We literally kept our shoes or slippers on the entire time!The balcony furniture was stained and gross with an old ashtray sitting out. The bed was so uncomfortable we surrounded ourselves with pillows for some relief. The tub/shower was stained and had mildew. Also, the sound wasn’t too bad at night, but you could hear everything from adjacent areas. This is a quote from my husband: “The hallways, elevator and common areas were appallingly disgusting!”

Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify an important issue for future guests. Pets are allowed at this property only if they are disclosed on the reservation and the required pet fee is paid. During this stay, an approximately 80-pound dog was brought into the unit without being listed on the reservation or approved in advance. Significant dog hair was found throughout the apartment, including on furniture, which required additional cleaning beyond standard turnover. An extra cleaning fee was applied in accordance with our house rules. We are disappointed that a negative review was posted following enforcement of these clearly stated house rules. No concerns regarding cleanliness, pests, odors, or maintenance were reported to us during the stay, and we were not given the opportunity to address the additional issues mentioned at the time. We take our house rules and cleanliness standards seriously to ensure a comfortable experience for all guests and appreciate those who follow the booking requirements.
