Bright & Private in Tahoe Donner + Hot Tub, Deck, Pet-friendly

Our tasteful, sunny and well-cared-for home is on a quiet street in Tahoe Donner. It's also close to everything: One block from the national forest and historic Donner Trail, you can hike, snowshoe or mountain bike right out the front door for miles. Donner Lake is just down the hill - 10 mins by car. The Trout Creek rec center, pool; golf course, restaurant and store are 1 mile away and an easy walk, and the nordic and alpine ski areas are less than 2 miles away. At the end of the day, enjoy the stars from your private hot tub.

Our home is a the perfect place to enjoy Tahoe, whether for vacation--or remote work, now with three workspaces sprinkled throughout for taking calls with our fast WiFi. The spacious great room features vaulted, wood ceilings and large south-facing windows that overlook the front deck and forest. Soak in the hot tub on the private back deck or in the jetted tub in the primary bathroom, and enjoy the WiFi and our collection of movies, books and games. We have sleds you can borrow and you can go right outside. Kids will enjoy the bunk room with its own TV and game table. Enjoy morning yoga on the deck, or just sleep in and sip coffee from one of our comfy beds.
Other things to note
This is a family home we have rented out occasionally over the years. I recently purchased it from my parents and am slowly making updates.
WINTER SNOW: During winter we get a lot of snow. We recommend driving a 4-wheel drive vehicle. We contract with a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall. Shoveling service is not provided mid-stay, however we have shovels and salt in the garage if you need to use them.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
You can learn more on VRBO about my cancellation policies, but I thought I would mention that we do not offer refunds for natural disasters, road closures or weather- related conditions like wildfires, poor air quality, snowstorms or other major events that are outside of our control. When planning travel to the area, I strongly advise purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen reasons for cancellation.
