The Blue Mountain Wilderness Retreat (BMWR) is situated 2,000 ft. asl. in the magnificent Blue Mountains and is located near the coffee-growing mountain village of Bangor Ridge, in the Parish of Portland. Just 25 minutes drive from Jamaica's north Coast. The spectacular view of the Grand Ridge of the Blue Mountains is an inspirational experience, that blends with the secluded sense of safety from the embrace of the surrounding forest. This Retreat is one of a kind on the island.
Encounter a true wilderness, as a great part of the experience is getting there: From the village square, it's 1.0 km. hike on a farm trail through the forest, so be prepared with the right shoes, knapsack, and rain gear just in case.
Ohyo is one of several tent sites offered and it is the most secluded of all, close enough to all the amenities, and but away from the crowd for those keen on privacy
