The Space:

Morning light filters across your private lanai as the Pacific stretches beyond the Waikiki skyline. Trade winds drift through open doors, carrying the steady rhythm of the neighborhood below while you settle into a space designed for both relaxation and longer stays. From the 36th floor, you’re close enough to the beach for spontaneous walks, yet elevated above the city’s energy.



Sleeping arrangements

This 1-bedroom condo comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. The separate bedroom features a queen bed with cotton linens, while the living area includes a sofa bed for additional sleeping space. Room-darkening shades and extra pillows and blankets help create a restful environment after a day out.



Living space & work setup

The living area offers a comfortable place to unwind with a TV and standard cable, along with fast wifi (209 Mbps) and an ethernet connection for streaming or video calls. A dedicated workspace in a room with a door provides a quiet place to focus when needed. Window AC and a ceiling fan keep the space comfortable in Honolulu’s warm, consistent climate.

The recreation deck at Waikiki Banyan is currently undergoing a complete transformation and is scheduled to officially reopen on May 18, 2026.



Once completed, this will be the largest recreation deck in Waikiki, entirely rebuilt with all-new amenities, landscaping, and furniture. The redesigned space will include:



• A large heated swimming pool

• Three brand-new hot tubs

• A brand-new sauna

• All new loungers and daybeds

• Modern barbecue and grill stations with seating

• A children’s playground

• A full tennis and play court



Everything on the deck will be new, beautifully designed, and ideal for families, couples, and longer stays.

The recreation deck and its amenities are not accessible prior to May 18, 2026. Some daytime construction activity may be present. Rates have already been adjusted accordingly.

More transparency would be nice

Property was great, good location and really nice, however amenities were all unavailable for the entire stay. This was brought to our attention after we booked, although we got a 10% refund on request. Also note that there is a lot of noisy construction and the room is right next to the elevator shaft which is very loud and goes all throughout the night!

However, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the unavailable amenities and the noise from the construction and elevator. Please be informed that we only received notice from the building on March 24th, and on March 25th, we updated all our listings and sent out email blasts to our existing guests regarding the recreation deck closure, which is beyond our direct control. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and are grateful for your patience. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more seamless experience in the future.
