Very clean. Eclectic mix of design that we loved. Woke up to deer outside the windows and looked at the stars one night. Have already shared pictures with friends.

The Hidden Gem truly is a gem! We arrived in the evening and walked in to find one of the most lovely VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in. Every effort was made to make us feel at home. Hillary had not only left the place immaculate but fresh cut flowers adorned every room. She left us a dozen delicious fresh eggs and fresh herbs and veggies from her garden. The architecture of the home is so unique and from the comfy bed we felt we were staying in a treehouse. We had such a lovely stay that we are trying to plan another trip to the area just to have the opportunity to stay in this gem of a place. We highly recommend it to anyone needing a place close to Navasota, Brenham or Washington.

Great Country Getaway

Our church booked this property for our guest pastor to stay at when he was visiting to preach a revival. He LOVED the property! He enjoyed the serene surroundings with all of the windows, the wrap-around porch and the privacy the property offered. He sent pictures to his family and his wife was envious of the bathrooms!

Where the blacktop ends

The host was welcoming; the house is on a beautiful piece of property and has everything you need; and it is close to everywhere we wanted to go (Washington-on-the-Brazos, Navasota and Brenham). Recommend for a couple or a girls' weekend. I found myself singing a Keith Urban song in my head during my stay, which I think describes the feeling of this rental: "Gonna kick off my shoes and run in bare feet Where the grass and the dirt and the gravel all meet Goin' back to the well, gonna visit old friends And feed my soul where the blacktop ends"

Wedding weekend

Everything was great there were fresh eggs, honey, and vegetables waiting on the counter. The home was very unique the design and architecture was amazing. The only thing I wish was done, if they mowed a trail around the house, I realized the wildflowers were blooming but a path to walk out of the high grass would have been a plus. Also if the trails that they mapped out were mowed the wives might have wanted to take a walk. But overall a great hidden gem to relax away from the city noise.

Fun times in the wilderness

Great place! From the start the host was great and communicative, and we were able to check in and check out at times that worked great for us. The house itself was wonderful, very different from what I'm used to. Definitely beware with the wifi, as warned this house is not set up for that, so drive out to a coffee shop in Navasota if you need to work. The full on floor to ceiling windows with no curtains were quite the vibe, absolutely lovely during the day. Thank you for the eyemasks! Double shower was awesome, and just the overall aesthetic of everything in the house was dope Thanks so much

Hidden “Gem” is accurate!

I couldn’t believe how wonderful this house was when we walked in! That was my first WOW moment! As we toured the rest of the home all I could say/think was “WOW.” I had never seen anything like this. We spent 5 nights, never ate a meal outside of the house. With no tv, we watched the birds at the bird feeder, listened to the wonderful library of music. We just unplugged. The antiques and the architectural elements of this house were mind blowing. We hope to return very soon! Another thing I’d like to point out is this is very handicap/wheelchair accessible. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve stayed in a lot of places, but this one will stay in our hearts forever.Everything about this place felt magical—from the floor-to-ceiling windows and incredible kitchen to the greenhouse, wildlife, gardens, and beautiful artwork. You could truly feel the love and soul that have been poured into this home and property.The fresh eggs, flowers, and honey were such a thoughtful touch (we made the most delicious frittata with the eggs!). We left with our hearts so full and so many wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing such a special place with us.
