Exceptional service and location

The Polly was the perfect location for a weekend in Laurel. We had a short walk to all the shopping and restaurants. No need for a car! The hosts were very responsive and the room was excellent.

Super cute and clean place! My only suggestion is to provide either paper towels or a dish towel for the kitchen, may have just been overlooked by the cleaners. Wasn’t a big enough deal for me to bother asking for some, I’m sure they would’ve provided some if I had asked. They were kind enough to bring us a bag of ice when asked. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

The design of the loft was beautiful but the execution needs work. Finishes of the loft were not done well. Caulking around the shower and doors were a mess. The bathroom sinks did not drain. Shower pressure was very low. The toilet seat was not secure on one side. It seemed to not have been dusted in a long time. Seemingly mold on the ac split unit. We found dirty socks under the beds. Overall not the experience the photos lead us to believe we would have. Other small things like no ice available, the host said there was some in the freezer but there was not, visible patches on the trim that were never painted the match the trim and no hot pads which made getting my kids frozen pizza out of the oven very exciting as well as stains on the carpet. While i know the building is old, the floor sags a noticable amount making it interesting to walk around. The location is the saving grace of this loft. An easy walk to the downtown shops was great.

Polly Perfect!

We had a great stay. This place brings you to old-time charm. Clean and the smell of Bacon cooking in the morning was wonderful! The host were very attentive and answered my questions and were very helpful. We stay there again for sure.

Wonderful Place to have the Home Town experience.

This was a mother's day outing where my mother and mother-in-law love HomeTown on HGTV, so we came to see what Laurel was all about. This loft apartment does have some steps to get to it, but both women over 70 navigated them well. The loft apartment has been converted to modern conveniences with original antique bones. Good amount of room and a good size bathroom. The best part were the owners as we had to leave suddenly for a medical emergency. The owners were more than accommodating and ensured that we will be back.

We will stay here again!

This loft was absolutely beautiful! Clean and spacious! We were able to enjoy live music from the bar down the street when we opened our window. For a family of 4 this is sooo much better than a hotel! Great location for shopping in Laurel and the restaurant below Grits & Some was great too! We loved everything about this place!!

Ladies overnight trip for shopping and dining

Property extremely clean. Owner response was fast and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again and highly recommend. Parked and walked everywhere in the downtown area. Five stars!

Nice place - charming and perfect for our party!

Would have given a five star, except for the dirty bed spread on king bed. Was very dirty and needed washed. Other than that, this was the perfect place for our girl’s trip. We loved the openness of the loft, and was grateful for the washer and dryer, because we had been on the road for a few days. Breakfast downstairs wa excellent. Would definitely stay here again!

The Polly loft was wonderful! The only thing that needed attention was food still in the refrigerator from previous guest. Other than that, a great stay!

The property was lovely, as listed. The reason for four stars is it was not the best location for a restful sleep because of the train that came by 4 times a night. We are light sleepers and this was aggravating. I think if you live downtown it’s something that you get accustomed to.

Charming

The loft was even prettier than the pictures! We had everything we needed; super communication regarding checkin/out. Location is spectacular; we walked everywhere! Be aware of the steps, as the unit is second floor, but we managed fine. Overall a great experience and my husband asked me to add Go Dawgs!

The property was clean and conveniently located. I don’t think I would list it as a 2 bedroom because the queen bed was not in a bedroom. I would also like to know why an additional $51.00 was taken from my account.

The location and size, furnishings were perfect! Our only suggestion is to clean the floors, table tops, etc. better. There was quite a bit of visible dust on the tv stand and the occasional tables near the couch. The tv screen was quite dusty. And the floor—I wore white cotton socks around the unit. The bottoms were pretty dirty each evening. I would definitely recommend this unit and host to others. I would forewarn them about the number and steepness of the stairs. Lol We loved the older restored building!!

Great Location, Cozy Stay

We enjoyed our stay at The Laurel Lofts: Polly. It was just as pictured in the listing. The apartment was clean, comfortable and the owner was responsive when I didn’t see the WiFi information in the apartment. Oops! I read in another review that the stairs were steep. They aren’t too bad. Remember when staying anywhere in Laurel that the city is 150 years old and some of the buildings are as well. You will see some really beautiful buildings that weren’t built like modern buildings. This place is so charming and the owners did an excellent job modernizing a part of Laurel history.

The place was very nice although the steps were steep leading todo. I did t know they were steep as there were no pictures. Had someone with me that had trouble going up and down due to hip replacement

The loft was really cute and cozy

The loft was really cute and cozy but unfortunately I missed the small detail about “catching a free concert” from the loft windows by the queen size bed. We booked this loft for a quick restful nights sleep as a half way point on our way back to Texas from Georgia. We have a 2 year old and unfortunately the live music behind the bar below the loft windows was way too loud for us to get any rest. So we had to cancel our stay last minute and drive straight through home. The host was kind enough to give us a refund though. If we wouldn’t have had a toddler that we were trying to get to sleep we might not have minded the music as much.
