Great Location

The location and amenities were great for our family of 4 with 2 little kids. Having a pool and being yards from the beach was a huge plus. Checkin/checkout was easy and seamless. It’s an older complex/condo, but it was fine overall!

Beach condo

Great location. There was no air conditioning and we needed it. The fans weren’t enough. The condo had a musty smell to it. It was very clean. The bed and TVs were great. We had a nice visit, and the beach was terrific.

We have since upgrade and added a portable A/C system for those days when it is a bit warm. The condo has been repainted and the carpet replaced to take care of any musty odor and smells like the ocean. Please give us another try if you are in the area

On the Beach!

Jeanne’s place is a great location with plenty of amenities and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The complex is beautiful and quiet, which is great if you are a light sleeper. We enjoyed using the boogie boards and beach towels. The unit could use a refresh. The shower water pressure is excellent and so is the king size bed! So comfy! A ceiling fan would be helpful to help cool off the bedroom. We had a good getaway and Jeanne was very responsive and available.

As we followed directions to go directly to the Club House, we were stopped by the security guard to let us know we had to check in with him. It was a bit intimidating, but he proceeded to apologize for the miscommunication we had received. He checked us in, gave us the keys, and provided directions. Upon entering the condo, we were met with a strong odor, which dissipated somewhat over the length of our stay after I unplugged an air freshener, but continued to linger throughout our stay. While this condo was clean on the surface, it lacked upgrades and a deep clean. The refrigerator was in the dining room, and the hall closet was packed and dingy. Also note that it is located in the front/middle of the complex and is farther than the 100-yard walk to the beach as stated in the description. There was an interior air conditioner, which was beneficial for keeping the temperature cool and circulating the air. There were great beach boards, and the TV had lots of apps. Overall, it was ok but lacked care. We have stayed at many condos at North Coast Village; this one was our least favorite, and we would not recommend it for these reasons. Thankfully, the beach is the main attraction, and we did not spend much time in the unit.

It took me a fw days to respond to your review as it was hard to understand your disappointment. You asked for early entry,I granted it , late check out again granted. You never mentioned any problems. My unit does not have an upgraded kitchen; that is true. However, I believe that is reflected in the price (my unit is much cheaper than others in the same complex). The carpet, ceilings, and paint are new. The hall closet has a few items for Xmas and a vacuum in it. Not sure why you needed it,as the bedroom has an empty closet for all of your needs.I suppose some people are unable to see the forest for the trees. You had an amazing condo in an amazing place, but chose to nitpick; how unfortunate for you.

Decent condo with a great location

My family and I stayed at this condo for 6 days and had a decent stay. The location of the complex itself is extremely desirable as it is basically on the beach and a short walk. The complex amenities were great and the kids loved to swim and be in the hot tub after a long day at the beach. The main downfall to this stay was the immediate odor. The condo had lots of beach amenities and sleeping arrangements and was comfortable. If you’re looking for a condo that is more up to date with furniture, this is not it but it was comfortable. Another downfall was the actual location of the unit. Even with the windows and doors opened, the unit was muggy and humid because the unit is placed right behind the stairwell and an adjacent elevator so there is not much of a breeze that comes in. The host was great with communication when it came to questions but overall the place was subpar.

Thank you for your feedback. I have added a portable AC unit for those days that are just a little too warm or muggy. All carpet and paint has been redone illuminating any musty smell. The apartment has been updated and is extremely enjoyable

Honeymoon with Mixed Experiences

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had mixed experiences. Upon arrival, we found our parking spot six floors below the rental unit, and the elevator wasn't working, so we had to carry our luggage up six flights of stairs. Inside the unit, we were greeted by a foul odor resembling cat urine. Additionally, it was very warm, and we discovered there was no air conditioning, a detail not clearly mentioned in the listing. The fan we set up only circulated warm air. The kind owner confirmed the absence of A/C and offered to send a housekeeper, but we opted to buy air fresheners ourselves due to our recent wedding gifts in the room. The rental includes complimentary beach chairs and on-site laundry controlled via an app, which was convenient. However, the unit was so uncomfortable that we spent most of our time outside, enjoying Oceanside. One unsettling aspect for us was the abundance of Hinduism statues and imagery throughout the unit, along with partially-burnt sage in the bedroom. While we respect the homeowner's right to decorate their space as they wish, the religious symbols were quite overwhelming. One of the statues was very creepy-looking, especially at night. We ended up covering them with towels to avoid looking at them all week. Despite these issues, the location was a significant plus, as we were within walking distance of the beach, and the resort-style complex added to the vacation feel. This rental has potential but needs improvements.

I’m terribly sorry you had such a difficult time. There are two elevators about 100 yards away from each other. Unfortunately, you did not find the other one. Regarding my decor it is apparent you have not traveled much. perhaps you are just starting out in life. There are a few pieces of art around my house that are peace symbols. One is a bear, protector of the salmon. Another is Ganesh the remover of obstacles. And there are a few others around the house. They’re all from different spiritual beliefs that I have collected as I have traveled the world. Well, the unit did not have air conditioning last season, I have added a portable AC unit for those days that are just a little too warm. As far as any odor, the condo has been completely redone with new carpet ,paint and updates. I hope as you grow a couple you learn to appreciate differences of culture.
