The cabin was great. Two nice sized king suites with large baths and plenty of common area. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Except for the fire pit and outdoor fireplace, everything was on the main level so great for older couples who have trouble with stairs. The deck was large with plenty of seating. The only minor complaint is the cabin is only 150 yards from the main highway so there is some traffic noise. But that said, we would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed so much! We visited Girls gone wine, several area gift shops, TheHotchatown Saloon, Fishtails, Papa Poblano's Mexican Restaurant, Beavers Bend State Park and other localities. The cabin was amazing! We loved the hot tub and did crafts on the back deck. We listened to our 70's music while playing games in the living room. We drank wine and shared brie around the community table while laughing and telling stories from the good ol days from our 50 years of friendship. It was an absolutely lovely stay! The cabin was decorated tastefully. It was neat and tidy, very clean!I highly recommend staying here!

Heaven in Hochatown!

We could not have asked for a better experience! The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed, and then some! Our kids loved it and had the best time relaxing in the hot tub and making s’mores by the fire pit. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked, and everywhere you look there’s a cozy place to sit. The location was ideal, and we loved walking down the street to the restaurants and candy store. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful floor plan

We chose this specific vacation house because of the large couches for movie watching and the size of the kitchen. The outdoor living space is ginormous but we didn't get to use it because of the chilly weather.

Fantastic house!

Loved this house! Deck is amazing. House is beautiful. Two split masters and an alcove with built in bunkbeds. House was spotless and well stocked. Loved the outdoor space. Trees surrounding the house give the illusion it is more remote than it is. You can hear cars from the road while in the yard, but it did not take away from our enjoyment of the space at all. In fact, we loved the convenient location. Highly recommend!

Time saver

GREAT LOCATION for our family. Two minutes or less to all of our favorite stops, food and necessities. The road noise is a bit loud but to be expected with this location. Perfect amount of room for 5 and our dogs. Very open concept to where everyone is apart of conversation. This location has a u turn driveway and parking spots. The bunk beds with its own bathroom kind of created privacy for our sister in law so she had her own space to play. The two master bedrooms was perfect for the in laws and us. The fact that we both had easy access to the balcony made it super convenient to get out of the hot tub and into the bathroom without tracking water in the house. The game table is nostalgic we LOVED it!

We truly loved several aspects of this property. The location was wonderful, and the backyard felt surprisingly secluded despite being near the highway and neighboring homes. The HVAC system worked beautifully and kept up easily as the weather shifted, and the deep soaking tubs were absolutely divine. We also appreciated how well‑stocked the kitchen was—there were plenty of utensils, cookware, and spices, which made preparing our meals very convenient. That said, our stay did come with some challenges. We arrived to find the home not fully clean, and several amenities we were looking forward to—such as the fireplaces and the gaming table—weren’t functioning. We also didn’t have hot water from the first night into the following afternoon, and communication during that urgent situation was limited. In addition, there weren’t enough linens or towels for the number of guests the listing accommodates, and we ended up purchasing some ourselves. The host did process the refund I requested, and I appreciate that resolution. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that it helps improve the experience for future guests. One small note for travelers: the front steps are quite steep. For anyone with mobility concerns, such as our mother who had a knee replacement a couple of years ago, they may be difficult to navigate. In those cases, another one of the host’s listings with easier access might be a better fit.

We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the location, the backyard, the kitchen setup, and the soaking tubs, those are some of our favorite features as well. That said, we sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with cleanliness, amenities not working, the hot water, and communication. That’s not the experience we aim to provide, and we’re taking your feedback seriously to ensure these concerns are addressed and improved for future guests. We also appreciate you acknowledging the refund, and for noting the accessibility of the front steps, this is very helpful for future travelers.
