Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify a few things for future guests. Mouse traps are a very common and standard precaution in cabins throughout the Lake Almanor area. Our cabin is located in a remote mountain setting where wildlife and seasonal changes are part of the environment. We would much rather take preventative measures than risk guests having mice inside the home. WiFi is not listed as an amenity at our property, and reliable internet connectivity cannot be guaranteed in a remote mountain location. During Brad’s stay in mid-October, there was an internet outage, which we communicated to him. Seasonal weather and service disruptions can occur in this area, particularly during the fall and winter months. Our host remained in communication with Brad until 10 p.m. on his first evening, responding to his questions and attempting to address his concerns. When he expressed dissatisfaction with the WiFi, we offered him the option to leave and receive a full refund. He chose to remain at the property for the next few nights. This is the first complaint we have received regarding these issues, and we have never experienced problems of this nature with any previous guests. We always strive to communicate openly, address concerns promptly, and provide guests with a positive experience. The peaceful setting and natural surroundings are part of what make Lake Almanor so special, but they can also come with limitations that are outside of our control.
