The house and view was outstanding. A very nice place for a quiet, private get away. We explored the whole Thumb Coast and it was a joy to return back to Huron Happiness to unwind from the busy day. Thank you for making your home available to us. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit that area.

The tranquility of the lakefront home was a wonderful respite and still offered things to do for the young adults who biked and went swimming. We so enjoyed the fire pit and the starry night sky. My granddaughter even spotted a bald eagle, sincerely Jeanette

We had a wonderful time at the lake! It was so relaxing just sitting on the screen porch watching the water. We were able to get our kayak down into the lake and it’s crystal clear!! So fun to fish and we had a couple of days with warmer water temps to swim. The beds and couch were comfortable and we appreciated the well appointed kitchen. Thankful for the air conditioning upstairs as it was hot the first few days of our trip. Overall wonderful stay!!

Great location

The house is very nice and right on the lake. Great location with enough privacy for a quiet vacation. Place was clean and is very well divided, definitely we will want to come again. Host was very responsive and gave us very easy directions through the whole stay.

Maritime Festival Weekend

This property located steps from Lake Huron was a nice relaxing stay for our time spent in the area visiting family and attending the Maritime Festival in Harbor Beach. Beautiful screened in porch overlooking the lake was a nice place to have morning coffee. We enjoyed the home and will stay again in the future.

Week of bliss

This place was beautiful and scenic. There was a great screened in porch and deck facing the water. We were mesmerized by passing Cargo Ships and other boats and wildlife. The living quarters were super functional and comfortable.

It was very peaceful. After a shower the evening was beautiful and we enjoyed sharing stories around the campfire and watching the stars. I was lucky enough to have the downstairs bedroom and enjoyed the sound of the surf at night and watched the pink sunrise in the morning.

Beautiful piece of property - the views are exceptional. The only downfall was no air conditioning- the fans certainly helped. Would definitely stay here again!

The view from the porch to the Lake was incomparable, when the waves were washing up to shore, it could be heard in the house and lulled us all to sleep. We enjoyed watching the ships go by and the multitude of wildlife that was around us from the various birds, to the deer and the bunnies that we saw on a daily basis. The host reminded us to bring towels and that would have been easily missed in our packing. I wish she had reminded us to bring washcloths, but those were easily purchased at the Dollar store just minutes away. We hit the ice cream shop in Port Hope multiply times and had fun at the local farmers market over the weekend. We didn't have time to use the grill, but found the kitchen fairly well stocked in pots and pans and utensils. We enjoyed the use of the telescope. Our second time in this house and would return again.

Fun

We were lucky to have such nice weather. My granddaughter got to snorkel and explore the rocky shore….she is nine. Very peaceful with the water. We did yoga on the grass in the morning and fires at night.

Relaxing Getaway

Mrs. Clean lives here! Was pleasantly surprised that we had nothing to do but unpack our bags when we arrived. No street number at the road made it tricky to find, but what a hidden gem it is! Very quiet location and the screened porch was a favorite spot. Families note: the beach is large rocks and shale, not for building sand castles.. Enjoyed watching the birds, bunnies and deer!

The property was well kept clean and inviting. The host was very easy to reach and very helpful. My only regret was my fault for assuming the area was operating in all seasons and many restaurants were only open weekends.
