Get lost up north! Whether it's a fun filled summer vacation or a cozy winter getaway you are looking for, Lazy Bear Lodge has it all! Come experience bonfires, roasted s'mores and hot dogs, toasty feet by the indoor fireplace, warm soaks in the jetted tub, flattop or charcoal grilling, a rambunctious game of Foosball, watching the day pass by on the expansive screened in porch, and so much more. Higgins Lake is just a 10 min drive away or consider a day trip to Petoskey or Traverse City. Location allows direct access to a network of ATV and snowmobile trails as well as is surrounded by a plethora of public hunting land.

Peaceful Property

An amazing property to get away from it all, the hosts thought of everything, from family games to whatever seasonings you need for the blackstone, and it’s only a short drive to the beach.

Cosy get away

Very warm and inviting nicely, decorated for the fall. We enjoyed reading books, wine and cheese. We did take some time to go into town and enjoyed rides in the country. Kitchen was well stocked. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay well recommended.

What a gem of a home

Perfectly appointed and gorgeous home. We absolutely fell in love with the screened in deck and watching the deer every morning. All the comforts of home, but better because…vacation.

Family golf/getaway vacation

Great clean cabin. Has everything you would need for cooking and entertaining. Great screened in rap around deck to enjoy the evening without bugs. This place is close to town, Higgins and Houghton lake and trails if that is what you are looking for. I would stay here again. place is close to town and lakes or

Wedding Anniversary Vacation

This property is even more beautiful than pictured and I highly recommended it especially for couples as it is the perfect setting for romance as well. This property is also very accommodating for a small family on 7.5 acres. The Host was very professional and friendly with assistance. It is very close to the freeway but secluded with all it's beauty and wild life this property is a must return to.

Beautiful, comfortable cabin

This gorgeous cabin was a great place for a week-long getaway. The living room was very comfortable, with reclining chairs and sofas, and a well-equipped entertainment system that included not only DVD capability but also Blu-ray and beyond. Kitchen was generally well-stocked. Abigail was very helpful and patient in answering my questions. A particularly special feature was the wraparound, screened-in porch - great for relaxing and reading. The only slight disappointment was the cabin's proximity to US-127 and the consistent road noise. We did get used to it, but it was initially a distraction.

4th of July Trip to Higgins Lake

The inside of the home is nice. It is not peaceful though. You can’t go outside and sit. You can the expressway loudly. You can see it from the front porch. That was very disappointing. There is nothing close grocery wise. Just a heads up. It was the first place I have stayed without a welcome book. Not a must have but those are always nice for people that have never been to the area before and to find things in the house and know how to work everything. It took us awhile to find the WiFi password. There were no dishwasher pods. We did a lot by hand. There weren’t check out instructions that we saw. I felt bad. We did what we thought we should done.
