We enjoyed our stay and loved the location. The spacious family room and kitchen were very nice. The access to the daylight basement lodging was a little difficult to navigate (along the side of the house), and the dogs upstairs were quite noisy when we were there during the day. Otherwise, a lovely stay!

We came to town for the Apple Cup. The Coug’s Den was clean and comfortable. No frills. The location was great as we could walk to campus. Would be aware that this is a downstairs unit. The tenants upstairs (assuming the owners), do have children and dogs so the foot traffic was quite noisy at times. But other than that a good place to stay.

There are many great things about this place, most notably the affordability and close proximity to campus. However, as noted by previous guests, the stairs to access the lower level are downright dangerous in wet/snowy weather. I cannot recommend this place for anyone with any type of limited mobility or vision limitations due to dark and slippery conditions. The place is well appointed, with plenty of space, and would be great for 1 family with kids. However, with only one real bed and a pull-out in that room, and bunk beds in another, its not suitable for more than 1 couple. Our group is early risers but it should also be considered this is a basement unit with a family and dogs upstairs that are very loud, especially early in the morning. The dogs upstairs are also prone to barking excessively when the upstairs homeowners are gone, even coming down the stairs and barking at the connecting (locked) door. Overall, if you're looking for affordability and proximity to walk to campus, and dont plan to spend much time in the unit I would recommend. But the condition outside is precarious in the winter, and the inside can be described as just enough but nothing more.

We had an amazing time at Coug’s Den it was warm and cozy and perfect for my family and our stay. Especially, Nicole was very prompt with her response when I had questions. We highly recommend the Coug’s Den for any future stay. Thank you again we appreciate you accommodating us! :)

Place fit our needs for long weekend visiting son at school. Only drawback was since it was a ground level unit with tenant upstairs that tenants had dogs that barked when they were not home.

This place is a joke. The pictures are not accurate to what this place is like. Kitchen facilities were poor. The refrigerator had to have a dish in the back of it to catch water that dripped from the freezer. The hot water tank was openly displayed in the corner of the kitchen. There were cobwebs collected all around the front door. The key to the front door was very difficult to get in the lock - it was almost as if they key didn’t work. The pictures showed no stairs you had to walk down to get to the back of the house. The parking was non-existent even though the comments indicated that parking was available. The supposed yard was nothing but dirt. We did not stay based on the conditions when we arrived. We will be working with VRBO to get a refund.

We had a TERRIBLE experience with this residence and have had zero response from Vrbo addressing our concerns. We checked in after dark and were led down an uneven path with broken paving and illumina by a string of lights on the ground and no railing. Across an uneven stretch of concrete, down uneven stairs. Entering the house to a VERY warm 78-80 degrees in the rooms and no ability to cool the residence down. We went to Walmart at 10:30 at night and bought two fans so that we could have fans blowing on us as we attempted to sleep. To our further horror, we discovered that in the bunk room after laying down on the lower bunk and looking up less than 12 inches from our face was black mold on the railings above us. The first night we were forced to sleep on the sofa in the living room, not the most comfortable and definitely not what we had paid for a two bedroom. We reached out to the owner through the app and were informed that they had had water damage in their words and that the wood had been stained by water and mold, but it was dry and safe to be around. Unfortunately, I am deathly allergic to mold and my daughter is pregnant. We were forced to move the mattress from the bunk room into the TV room remove all the bedding and wash it and hopes that we were eliminating any mold. This is totally unacceptable. I have texts wit the owner showing that they were fully cognizant of the damage and or mold in the second room
