Listen to the waves in this historic home or walk to Nauset Beach! Home was once part of the Mayo Duck Farm and at one point a restaurant with a huge local following. Now divided into 2 separate rental units. Located 2/10 of a mile from the Atlantic and Nauset Beach this vacation spot is spacious and all on one level. 3 a/c window units, gas grill, ...even teak floors in the outdoor shower! Step down to the Summer room with couches and a TV for the kids or walk outside to a private patio with an outdoor shower. You can boil up the lobsters and clams in the fully equipped kitchen and dine inside or out as your mood dictates. You will rest easy with 3 bedrooms after a full day of Cape Cod Summer League baseball, fishing, boating, hiking, surfing or just taking in the many activities the Town of Orleans and the Lower Cape have to offer. Please note: there is also an attached farmhouse which may be rented to accommodate larger families. Come and make your own History in Beautiful East Orleans. Foosball table in summer porch!!

Wonderful and so close to the beach!

The place was very clean and comfortable, and actually looked bigger than it seems on the pictures! The walk to Nauset beach was short and easy, the backyard was awesome for playing with the kids after the beach, and I loved having the backroom to keep our bicycles safe at night. The outdoor shower was great and prevented us from getting sand all over the house, and the private eating area (with pretty lights at night) was great. We'll come back again!

Great Location

The property is in very good shape. The photos are accurate. There are 2 separate units in a common building. Each with separate entrance. Our unit had an enclosed courtyard with gas grill, table, and outdoor shower. There is plenty of parking. It has 3 air conditioners (1 in living room, 1 in 2 of the bedrooms). It is a 10 min walk to Nauset beach. Due to Covid-19 restrictions they would close the beach even to people walking by 9 or 10 AM on sunny days. Numerous restaurants in Orleans about 10 min away by car. The WiFi worked great. We had a great relaxing vacation!

Apartment close to Nauset Beach

The strong point of the property is the proximity to Nauset Beach, less than a 10 minute walk. The living area is mostly one large space, a combined kitchen, dining, living area; nothing fancy, but comfortable and functional. This is one of two or three apartments in a big, old Cape Cod house. The walls are a little thin, so you hear conversations and kids running around in the apartment adjacent to and above this unit. There is a medium sized courtyard patio, but not really much private space, indoors or outdoors.

Great location

10 minute walk to Nauset Beach is the selling point for this property. Also it is a short drive to the National Seashore beaches. Great area restaurants and not far from Harwich Port ferry to Nantucket. The house is a little dated with tiny bathrooms but it was clean and well stocked with basic supplies. More detail on the VRBO website under amenities would be helpful.
