Mountain View Haven
We invite you to Glacier View to visit this charming Haven with amazing Mountain Views! Our Haven accommodates 4 guests with 2 bedrooms, each featuring a queen bed, a closet with shelves and hangers and one bedroom has a good sized dresser with six drawers. We have 2 bathrooms as well. Enjoy the quiet retreat just off Glenn Highway…about a half mile from the Puritan Creek Trailhead and minutes away from Matanuska Glacier. Our home has wifi, providing a variety of streaming options on the TV as well as a DVD player. Our kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, a hand mixer, toaster, coffee maker, even a salad spinner! We have a microwave above the electric smooth top stove. There is a washer and dryer for guests to use..and, If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see the resident moose stroll through and there are wild blueberries to pick in the back of the house when in season.

This was the best Vrbo stay we have ever had. From start to finish everything was perfect. The property was immaculate and everything we could have hoped for. Host communication was fantastic. You’ve never seen views like this place has. We even got to see the resident moose and her baby! Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Everything we hoped for!
What an amazing place! The view is absolutely stunning. Inside is immaculate and just as described. The bed was very comfortable and the master bath is very nicely done. The kitchen is well stocked, it had everything we needed to cook our meals (even a cheese grater!) We really liked the recliners and spent a good bit of time just kicked back loving the view. Mama moose and her baby visited one night n the midnight sun. Lois was an excellent host. She was very quick to respond. We were fortunate she was able to get us in, very last minute, a day early. We would absolutely come here again!

We had an absolutely wonderful time. On Wednesday a mama moose with her two babies came right across the front yard. Oh and let's not forget the view!!. The house was fully stocked and very clean. Oh and my husband being quite the forager found some blue berries out back. The hosts were very hospitable and timely with all the suggestions and answers to questions. I will say the road to the cabin is quite curvy and it is a fair clip to a decent size grocery store so I would definitely stock up before heading up the mountain. There were lots of places to hike and the glacier was breathtaking. 10 out of 10 fully recommend

We are Dave and Lois…we live in Montana but our story began in Alaska many years ago! We met at Victory Bible Camp at Mile 95 on the Glenn Highway. We have recently been re-connected with people and places in Alaska and Dave has been able to do some volunteer work there as well as at Kingdom Air Corp a little further south at mile 81. We have “sister properties”…Friends and Family Haven in Wasilla and Mountain View Haven in Glacier View. We have thoroughly enjoyed sharing them with other travelers and we love when it’s “our turn” to stay and enjoy beautiful Alaska. Welcome! We hope you enjoy our Haven.

The VIEWS from this house are incredible. The big picture windows frame it perfectly. It is easily accessible from the Highway and though small, feels roomy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
