LOCATION, LOCATION LOCATION! Off rue Freeman, à la fin d'une petite culture privée DE- SAC. Juste à environ 5 min (4/10 ème de mile) à pied de court Sands Beach. La propriété est A OUSIS LUSH, situé sur plus d'un demi-acre sur un petit cul-de-sac avec de l'ombre de 100 ans et plus vieux chênes. 3 chambres dont une au premier étage avec salle de bain attenante. Deux chambres supplémentaires à l'étage. Deuxième grande salle de bain avec douche baignoire et deux lavabos. Machine à laver et sèche-linge. Décoré avec goût avec des antiquités charmantes et des meubles confortables. Profitez des jardins luxuriants, grande terrasse, cour spacieuse, meubles de patio extérieur, gaz Weber barbecue. Parking pour 3 voitures. La deuxième maison sur la propriété est rarement utilisée par les propriétaires.

Very Happy

Myself, and my 3 siblings went to York for a wedding. The set up at the house and location was perfect. Five minute walk to the beach made it easy to enjoy the morning sunning ourselves before we had to get ready.

Malpropreté et indispensables dans la cuisine manquants

Toit qui coule, manque des ustensiles pour spaghettis et homard, pas de chaudron adapté, pas de cuillères à café, seulement de grosses cuillères à soupe, bouchon de lavabo brisé. Nous avons manqué d’électricité après une tempête; pas de lampe de poche. Le propriétaire est venu nous porter 2 chandelles ! Etc, etc !

Clean

One of the cleanest Vrbo we have stayed . Just barely adequate kitchen equipment. And remember to bring your own sheets and towels. The owners were staying next-door and they were very very nice and helpful.

Great Getaway

Perfect weather, convenient, spacious lodging. Only stayed 3 nights. Wish I could have stayed longer. Just the right size for 4 adults and 2 children. The porch was perfect for meals - grill and umbrella were convenient. The neighborhood was very nice. The home is not modern by any means but this didn’t matter to me. There is another unit on the property that has a king and two twins. Renting both units would allow for a larger family get together.

Beautiful home, walking distance to downtown

We were in town for a friend's wedding. Not only was the house beautiful, but it was only a short 5 minute walk to downtown! We enjoyed walking there every morning for coffee. We also loved the new fire pit! House is nicely kept and is on a quiet street. I would definitely recommend it and would love to visit again!

Very clean neat and welcoming...

We loved it! The property was as described. Clean, neat and most everything you'd need as far as cookware in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the location as it felt very private. The flowers were still blooming and we were welcomed by Colette with a freshly cut bouquet. The layout of the home worked especially well. A master bedroom down stairs accommodated my Mother and the rest of us slept upstairs. The second bath is located downstairs but, large and beatiful. A fall visit meant evenings and mornings were cooler. It is heated but, we found the wall heater alone in the dining room was perfect to keep us cozy for evenings of games and breakfast in the morning. If you pack light for the beach it is an easy walk. If you plan on taking everything for a full day at the beach you will need a wagon or cart...it may be easier to drive.

Wonderful place to stay in Maine

We were three adults and found the place not too large and not too small - plenty of room to spread around as well as spend time together. Everything was exactly as advertised, delightful decorations and beautiful grounds. Collette was so friendly and helpful - told us how to walk to beach and town as well as a local Harvest Festival. A few more paper products (napkins, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, etc) in t he kitchen would have been helpful, but not a big deal since Hannafords was close by. We would absolutely visit again.

Absolutely perfect home and location!

We think this home is just perfect in every aspect! The layout of the house and huge deck, the large and picturesque yard, and the 5 minute walk to the beach on a quiet side road make this property amazing. We have chosen to stay with our grandchildren for two weeks each summer for the past several years and have always left with the feeling that we had vacationed at the jewel of York! The owners live in the attached apartment and are so gracious and welcoming. The home is a tasteful mix of antiques, art work, modern kitchen and bathrooms, and all of the amenities you could need. We are certain that anyone who stays at this home will leave with the same impression as we have! Enjoy!

WOW!!!!! It doesn't get better than this place....

I hope I don't spoil it for myself by sharing what a hidden GEM we found. What a terrific private location. WE didn't have to worry about our children playing in the yard as it is at the end of a cul de sac. It feels like your own park here and yet the beach is just minutes away on foot.

Comfy, convenient and in a beautiful setting

We had just the right amount of space for 3 couples, an infant and a dog. The house has all the amenities you would want and while it has been updated and is very clean it still has the character of a sort of beach cottage. The owners were very nice and live in an attached unit so were available if we needed them although we were provided with all that we needed. One suggestion I would add because my family is a bit particular about the quality and quantity of pillows needed for the best sleep is that we would recommend you bring your own pillows if that is also a concern of yours.
